Today in Pesticide Not Required we play as James Pond, a little frog that has only 1 HP and a shield that blocks 1 attack per day. There is no way to gain more HP as all bonuses get negated, meaning you have to avoid hits at all cost. Usually, on dificulty 1, this is rather simple. Especially since his unlock requires a run to not get hit. But to give us a final tough challenge, I decided to go for difficulty 4 instead, where enemies are faster, deal more damage and have more HP.

After finishing this game If your a fan of 3d roguelikes I recommand play risk of rain 2 or if you dont like 3d roguelikes play risk of returns (its a 2d roguelike/horde survival)

having over 200% crit chance and absolutely refusing to take crit damage blows my mind. the base crit damage isn't 100% like in other games, its weapon dependent. And you get orange, even red crits, so 20% crit damage can be like 40%-60% bonus damage. And at 26:50 it seems like you're too fast for the game. Somehow it takes a second for the button to become active, so your first click doesnt register and the dialog doesnt close.

There is always a difference between what's optimal and what's necessary. Optimal refers to the highest output (or "best" option), while necessity just refers to having enough. The enemies in this game have by far not enough HP to keep up with many of the damage numbers that can be reached. The moment I said I can chill now the game was already won. If you walk through enemies and they get killed by a single hit, it doesn't matter if you take more damage or not, at that point it just becomes an annoyance to spend more time on thinking about level ups. Which is also the point I tend to look only for things that I enjoy, like attack speed or attack size
