@MyloSkeng2 жыл бұрын
The problem with that is that the player that starts first has a shorter first lap than everyone else so their first laptime is always very fast 😅 They also have very short gearing to abuse the PP. The Finnish guy also hugely cuts the chicane which this guy does not 😅

Yes, the PP system is broken. The reason the PP suddenly shoots up past a certain top speed is that you suddenly get a "Rotational G" score at 150mph, which adds to your PP. If you can't reach that speed, you don't get a score there, which lowers your PP significantly. Very exploitable, yes. Basically, they should still be calculating your 150mph rotational G even if you can't reach that speed. Not sure how feasible that is, but there should be a hack to fix that to avoid this exploit. And yes, that's how simplistic the system really is. From their explanation of this, they gave me the impression that they calculate PP based on how quickly the car runs through a simulation, but that's clearly not the strict truth, as this proves.
@Harmonic142 жыл бұрын
Very good find! I'm not sure how GT's system works, but I know Forza used a hidden simulation for their PI system. The simulation track had a very long straight, so adding aero kits to cars actually lowered performance most of the time, and short gearboxes that worked on many tracks seemed to cap your PI and let you put absurd amounts of power into some cars.
@antiHUMANDesigns2 жыл бұрын
@@Harmonic14 Yeah, the question is how to fix this. But at the very least, it's clearly a blatant flaw to not calculate the 150mph rotational G and thus give you more PP headroom. Seems like a pure oversight. Other aspects of how it is poorly balanced in its simulation/calculation aren't quite as big of a problem, I'd say. Maybe GT7 does it better than Forza.

Great tune. I still cannot figure out why they allow such blatant corner cutting such as the final chicane. I get that everyone does it and that’s what’s needed to win under PD rules, so No judgement. I just wish they had at least one or two wheels over the black top at all times or penalty system.
@Harmonic142 жыл бұрын
I 100% agree. Every time I run a track on GT, I'm absolutely mind blown at how generous the limits are, and that's coming from a Forza player... Haha

Huracan is mid engine, Atenza is front engine, they arent even remotely the same as far as balance. Not to mention power delivery (V10 vs turbo 4), aero etc etc. You can try it, but it is very doubtful that the best settings for a totally different type of car will help.
