I’m a hardware and wiring guy. I don’t do programming of access control. I’ll run all the wires, connect all the devices, install all the relays (old school), boards, and power supplies. But when it comes to software, I’ve never been taught, and recently did a full day course and the guy left us more confused than anything!!! Somethings were fine and understandable as a security point of view, but a lot of it was very confusing on the different programs that are running…like gateway, etc. Why can’t it just be two program’s? Master program, and user program. Or just have one dam program with different login permissions??? When you log in, you can only view, or view and assign badges, etc. Give different permissions to individual login ins. You shouldn’t have to start one program first, then another, and then another.
