“They’re not inherently violent”, they said. If you see one in a bad situation, go help, don’t call the police because a police interaction to them is a possible death sentence. In earnestness, my only hope is this poor family didn’t feel obligated to help due to media guilt. I live very close to where the cop was murdered in Melvindale. And I can tell you, with no shortage shame, if I saw the shooter in a bad spot-I’d have ZERO remorse letting him deal with his own issue. Yea, you think I’m a terrible person. But I will take that over being on the slab. Sorry to the family & community.

I don't believe there were 3 people in the truck, only 2. The 3rd shooting victim was in the truck that he jumped on. I don't think he jumped "in" the truck, he clung onto the truck and shot the driver in the arm according to information posted on social media. A person at the scene saw the guy shooting and told one of the people who stopped to help to jump into her truck when she saw the guy shooting at people. This was a pretty brave thing to do and she probably saved this woman from getting shot. The sheriff reported only 3 shooting victims, the 2 women in the truck, one fatality and the other hospitalized and the driver of the truck that the shooter jumped on. The shooter was apparently dislodged from the truck at the Polly Ann trail where he was captured and arrested
