I didn’t expect Chanthaburi to have such a big temple, and it doesn’t have Chinese simplified characters written on it, which shows that it has a long history! That long pillar is not a chimney, but a huge incense stick, used for worship. It is an enlarged version of the symbol! That durian yokan is a famous snack in Thailand and a famous souvenir. I like it too! That little ball is a classic Taiwanese dessert that can be found in every night market. The correct name is Fried sweet potato ball! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful day, you are awesome! 👍😍👏

That durian cake is preserved durian, it's a pretty well-known snack for Chantaburi. Made from durian flesh with sugar. There are other fruit that preserved this way as well, like mango.

I had no idea it was preserved durian. I'll definitely look out for the mango version next time-sounds delicious

the crunchy and soft ball you ate is potato ball and the purple one is sweet potato ball
The tiny yellow and purple balls are called Kai Nok Gata (Quail eggs, size-wise, but not literally quail eggs, LOL). They are made of yellow and purple yams. I guess the texture is like a Vanity cake, you know, all puffed up outside yet hollow inside.
