Honda and Toyota always fix their issues. It’s the American car brands we can’t trust guys !

Honda tried to charge my mom $90 for an air filter. 4 screws. Honda also charges you $88 for a warranty tire. Honda civic 2019 had 2 recalls. One with AC and whatever they had to fix Honda has $15 techs that will be gone next time you show up. Cv joint had to be replaced and cost $2500 bc they had to drop the transmission. 90k miles 2 months out of warranty, imagine that.

HATE TO SAY THAT BUT IT'S THE TRUTH!

@@llamacebu216 What you're talking about except for the one recall are issues related to the dealer you are going to, not the Honda corporation itself. Each dealership is a franchise so you'll find they're not all the same. With that being said, $90 for an air filter change sounds about right. It's up to the Honda franchise owner to determine labor rates and depending on where you live, it could be anywhere from $50 to $150 and hour. It's even more in big cities like Chicago where they charge over $200. Yes an air filter is easy, (you should have done it yourself), but it's not a 5 minute job for a dealer. The mechanic has to go get the car and inspect it in the shop before doing any work. They inspect it for any damages, leaks, or other issues and making a note of that so the consumer wont try to blame them. This is not their fault, it's the consumers who try to blame everything on the mechanics. Once that is done he can get to work. So a "simple" air filter change out can easily be a 30 minute labor charge plus parts, and many dealerships have mandatory minimum 30 minute labor charges no matter what is being done. So bottom line is, do what I do, only use the dealer for big issues you cannot fix. For everything else, there's a world of information out there, especially on Hondas. You can research just about any problem and fix it yourself or at least have the knowledge to know how much is involved in the work, and know what mechanicas are doing back there in the shop when you drop it off.

FORD is losing $110,000 on every EV they sell. Honda's quality suffered when they started making cars in the U.S. decades ago. It hasn't improved much, with transmission issues, airbags and other major recalls.

I've got 270K on my US built Honda Pilot. Best car I've ever owned. The airbags are made by Takata and Honda's taken care of anyone who got off their ass and brought it in. I've got the original trans in my 2005 also. 30K trans service with Genuine fluid works wonders. Shifts like new. How'd you like a twin turbo Tundra with the grenading engines? 100K to date and climbing. Trucks sitting on lots waiting on new engines.

This looks bad because unlike US car makers, Honda doesn't delay or try to hide or play down issues. They immediately issue a recall just to be safe even if only a fraction of the vehicles are faulty. EV's? FOrget about it... President and CEO of American Honda Kazuhiro Takizawa talked about EVs, ecosystems, and consumers. Takizawa said, "You can’t force the customer to change their mind, really, and to some degree [you can incentivize] them but we just can’t force the people living in, say, the midwest, with no charging stations."

Please continue with naturally aspirating V-6's American consumers do not want to be the experiments for ill-applied technology. Listening to politicians is never prudent. The Frontier truck is really enjoying its placement

I just bought a slightly used 2023 Honda Passport. It's lightyears ahead of our 2005 Pilot with 270K and I hope we get the same reliability out of the Passport. I didn't want a turbo 4. That Frontier is really nice. I'm seeing them everywhere in San Diego.
