1 Minute Overview: Benchmade Proper

Thanks for loaning this one Earl! The Benchmade Proper is a modern rendition of the slipjoint knife. It has pretty good build and good materials. I'm not 100% sold on the design, but that's a personal thing. A good option if you're a Benchmade fan but want a slipjoint.

I think it's a good knife for the price, but I just don't love the design and could use that extra $$$ on GEC!

It looks like a modern folder made into slipjoint. It has terrible lines and an unattractive grind.

I have to say, I think I'm with you on that. I'd say that I doubt the designer came from a traditional background.

I much prefer the Lionsteel roundhead and shuffler. The Viper EZ Open looks good, but I've not held that one in hand. Benchmade could learn a thing or two from those Italians about modern styled traditional pocket knives.
