I have the exact same condition, I’m currently almost to my second month loc’d. It’s gonna sound crazy but the only thing that’s helped my scalp is Monistat 7 mixed with Sulfur 8 hair grease (the yellow one). It was recommended to me by someone & I thought she was insane, I looked it up on here & almost every video talked about how it worked. Decided to give it a shot & I’m so happy I did, I have ZERO flakes & haven’t since I did my first treatment with it. Literally the very next day my scalp was completely cleared up. I’ve gone from washing my hair 4 & 5 times in one month, to only once it’ll be a full month since I washed it on the 19th & my scalp is still completely clear. No itching or anything. You should definitely try it!
@deannalb20473 жыл бұрын
Oh wowwww. That makes sense because it’s an anti fungal and Sulfur 8 is used for dandruff. Do you wash it out or apply it once and leave it? I wash my hair with my medicated shampoo and anti bacterial bar, it has helped but I still have to wash twice a month. My scalp is still red and sore with flakes sometimes.

@@deannalb2047 I leave it until its time for my next wash. I was using a probiotic soap for a while and it helped, but then out of the blue I had the worst flare up. That little treatment is the only thing that has helped. I last washed and retwisted my hair on June 18, and I greased my scalp with it the next day. I havent washed it or had to apply the treatment again yet. I'll wash and apply the treatment again on the 18th of this month. It's truly a miracle worker.

Hi how often do u wet your hair like in the shower not spritz it with water if u dont mind me asking?
@deannalb20473 жыл бұрын
I don’t wet my hair in the shower unless I’m washing it. I wash my hair twice a month. I may run my wet hands through my hair but never let the water run on it.

Does your unit give you a hard time with locs ? I’m scared to loc up because of regulations 😭
@deannalb20473 жыл бұрын
@GG Boyd no they don’t. They don’t even mention anything about my hair, never have. Even when it wasn’t in regs lol. Another female has about 10 GIANT locs, definitely out of regs but they don’t say anything.
