The term "Cybergoth" was coined in 1988 in the UK by Games Workshop for their RPG Dark Future. Cybergoth is defined as combining elements of industrial aesthetics with a style associated with Gothic Ravers (Gravers). The fusion of goth and rave began in 1999. Initially the hair extensions and bright fishnets did not mesh well with goth fashion, but by 2002 the rave elements were replaced by Industrial-influenced accessories, such as goggles and reflective, mostly black clothing. -quote end.
