same same, he should definitely teach mandarin as well. definitely an expanding market (African countries are learning Chinese pretty intensively atm, for example).
新手课代表之 口语技巧 1.TALK TO YOURSELF跟自己说。也就是自言自语,公共场所觉得尴尬丢人的话,可以假装自己在打电话 2.i+1。i表示现水平,+1表示比现有水平难一点点。选择适当的难度,稳健发育,别浪;正常合适难度为每20个词有一个不懂的(即1/20为最好,1/50太简单没效果,1/10太难太痛苦) 3.LEARN WITH老马发音课!只需199!你买不了吃亏!你买不了上当!

This was a wonderful video! You have a great way of explaining to people (one that I've used in the past myself to explain pronunciation to people). It really requires a level of comfort with having people stare inside your mouth which... can take some people some time getting used to haha! Have you ever done a series like this for people learning Chinese?

Chris, at about 7:24 the girl said, "exciting" when I am sure she meant to say "excited". A common mistake with new Asian speakers of English. I wish you had pointed that out to her; you could help so many people. All the same, you do a great job, Keep at it, bro.

Hey man, great video. Would love a similar lesson on the intonation of Mandarin, since there's literally no content out there covering it atm. Which tones are stressed in a sentence is something I really want to improve to sound native.
@ptgirls57514 жыл бұрын
I'm a CSL teacher. First, a lot of Chinese learners think they're tone deaf. But even native Chinese speakers are tone deaves too. After we learn how to read, we stop noticeing nuance in different tones. So don't worry too much about your listening skill. The first tone is the sound you can make as long as your breath can take. ( La~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~) No other tones can do that. When you make the sound as long as you can, then you get the tone right. You'll know it's the first tone. 2nd tone is like uptalk. Like yes? No? Try to lift up your eyebrows with a question mark when you say it. 4th tone is like cursing. SH*T, F*ck, etc. Try to imagine you smash or punch something when you use the 4th tone. 3rd tone is like when you get choked. Imagine the sound position is around your neck. Hope that helps.
@meostyles4 жыл бұрын
@@ptgirls5751 Hey yeh learning the tones is super important! It's the subtle changes within a long sentence that I struggle with- I find that tones tend to be more stressed at the start of a sentence, and fizzle out (get lower and less strong) towards the end of a sentence
@ptgirls57514 жыл бұрын
Can practice by building the blocks. E.g. Apple. An apple. I eat an apple. Gradually increase the length of the sentence. ----- P.s. Lots of native Chinese speakers like to drag the ending sound. That's not a good habit. Better not learn that way of speak.

lbb2r Dear, rule no.1. Don’t pull out your phone on first date. You be lucky if your date stayed until the end.
@lbb2rfarangkiinok4 жыл бұрын
@@cloudsan8775 Hmmm, weird rule. It's the 21st century, being overly attentive makes you seem clingy to some, being on the phone (can) make you look busy and important. Especially if you are polite and then at some point make a point to show them they are becoming more important to you, so you ignore a call or two for them! I was just joking anyway. Still am. But there are plenty of ways and reasons to "be on your phone", so your first rule of dating seems a little out of date.

So I'm actually a native English speaker. Surprisingly I learnt quite some stuff from this vid. I didn't really notice my tongue positions really changing when I pronounce the /ɪ/ and /i/ sounds until now 😅 I think it's just cuz it's so natural as a native speaker. By the way, when you teach students, how often do you correct their mistakes in the sentences. Do you pick out every mistake or what? I'm just not sure what to do.
