Ah. Now, this becomes a PERFECT nostalgia when you've listened to it thousands of times over summer. All those workouts while trying to read, those perfect scenes from my book, and the best memories from vacation. It's like I don't want to listen to this beautifully written composition right now because I'm stressed and don't want to ruin the nostalgia it's giving me right now. I swear I sometimes wish I was in this orchestra with my flute. It's so random but this is how much I love this piece and actually if there is a way somehow I seriously would've lived my life omg This is where my love for epic orchestral music also began. I discovered albums such as Two Steps From Hell, Audio Machine, and Eternal Eclipse. JUST BECAUSE I found this.

Love the arrangement! Especially the How to train your dragon scores. They sound different enough to hear the way you look at the score. (It feels personal/not quite the original) without losing the charm of the original. Just amazing!

Hey! I've been listen to this piece for about two years now, almost daily, and I just want to tell you how much I love it🥰. I listen to it when I'm happy, I listen to it when I'm down. I use it to study and it even became a way of measuring time "I'm gonna study two rounds of 1 orchestra, 30 films today" 😉. It never gets boring. Not even a little. It's just the perfect combination of soundtracks and transitions. Thank you so so so much for making this (and for this upload, when the other one got silence, oh my.... I freaked out)

Very nice score. I like how you kept the cinematic motion with such few instruments. The gliss. with arrows is more of a harp thing if you want to be specific about which way to roll, otherwise no arrows. I noticed you were specific on some of the bowing markings, but in other places, you had few or no slurs to indicate bowing. Did you intend for the strings to be non-divissi on the double stops? Bravo, a few tweaks, and ready for the stands.
@StuartBramwellMusic2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. The chord spread with arrows is perfectly standard notation for any keyboard instrument specifying direction. I bowed all the parts myself, as the concertmaster. All bowing is accurate. When left without it is to be played ‘as it comes’ ie down followed by up. If no slurs written, no slurs wanted! Double stopped strings as much as feasible due to small size of sections divisi not ideal.
@eddygonzalez23282 жыл бұрын
@@StuartBramwellMusic I'm a pianist not a string player, so I use slurs just to indicate preference in the melodic pattern. I know they will inevitably choose how to bow. God forbid I use bow markings. Only for down strokes, if I have already asked. As for the multiple stops I tend to use div. As I've been asked to consider re stacking the chords. But I suppose in your case you left it out knowing how you would decide later. Orchestration is something I've been learning. I'm expected to indicate slurs and sim. Thereafter. As for arpeggio with arrow, it will be very strange for me to see it. Never come across those. Good to see a different way of orchestrating. I got Adler, Piston and Kennan to help me, Although Holst, Debussy and Falla would say otherwise. Thanks for the input.
