In 2006 I was fortune to visit the Islands of New Zeeland. There I met an kiwi who had played an elven warrior in the films and he wrote some words from the settings on the first page on my travel diary. I never forget the people, the lands and looking out over the seas from the hills above Christchurch I was ready to go Home. Since that day it has always light me up on darker times of the year and hearing this music wants me to go back. It is a very special place on earth and If you ever have a chance walk through its rainforests or being out in the fjords there is few places with its magic. ❤❤❤

Why does the Lord of the Rings have such a grip on our imaginations? Why does this music, so expressive of the books, move us so? Because it whispers to us that which we suspect: that behind the material aspects of life there is a hidden spiritual reality. You might say a magic. Life, we suspect, is a grand story of the clash between life and death, good and evil, despair and hope. But then we suspect there is something even deeper: behind the forces are true beings. Tolkien mythologized them as Eru Ilúvatar (supreme God) the Valar (angels) and Melkor/Morgoth (a fallen Valar). While LOTR is not an allegory, Tolkien was a devout Catholic and his Christianity deeply influenced his writing. Reader, consider that the reason the books, the films and the music moves you so deeply is because you recognize that it whispers to you that in some way they speak truth--the the Creator God who lives is the one whispering, and he has sent one far greater than Gandalf into the world to redeem us, Jesus the Messiah. And he invites you to join in the great battles of the ages. There you will find your true and deepest purpose: to know God and to seek His kingdom, and to slay the orcs of death and despair. The one who said, "You shall not pass" is now risen and is far for glorious than Gandalf the White, and and he invites you: "Come and follow me!"
