1 Problem With Uploading Your Music | YouTube Copyright Claims.

That's crazy. A company from India filed a copyright claim on a video that had my first intro and a sound effect I had bought. They have the same intro video as me with the same sound effect, but they added their logo. I was granted permission to use it because it came with a license. The crazy thing is that they claimed I stole their video even though theirs is in low resolution and has a watermark of the company that created the intro, indicating they didn't buy the HD version, which requires a license. KZbin needs to handle these false copyright claims nowadays.

That's crazy man. I would think that KZbin will have some better system in place to handle things like this, instead of letting the video and monetization get claimed right away. Like some sort of review process.

KZbin's Content ID is a mess. We also have issues sometimes with people claiming original music. Have of the time Content ID makes a mistake and thinks part of our song is a different song. TikTok is even worse.

I have never seen Escrow....Thats interesting man! Whats crazy is that it shows you actually MAKING it live so when the claim hits, they need to have a system in play when they need to ACTUALLY look at the vidoe to see before they hit it. The samples are understandable but yeah they been doing this and its just crazy! Appreciate you as always family and pray this gets resolved QUICKLY. Blessings!

EXACTLY! Then, the claimant doesn't respond so, it's just hanging until it expires after 30 days. I'm not sure how accurate this is but, I was also told that when you have one of these claims open, then video will not get it's normal push. I'm not sure if that's true or not either way it's crazy. The problem with sites like KZbin and TikTok is that millions of videos are being uploaded every single day. Way too many for any human being to sit through and analyze themself. So instead they try to use technology to determine these things. That’s why they said there was a copyright claim before you even uploaded your video. If you were using a loop or something and didn’t do anything to change it then that would make since. But a drum pattern? I’m sure there’s been plenty of drum patterns that sound similar in all of the years of making music. That’s just crazy! Hope you get this resolved!

I definitely understand that. But, when it comes to disputes there should be someone able to take a look at it. Maybe there’s too many disputes for that as well. The dispute is currently just sitting and will expire in a week. It’s just an annoyance. lol

@@DDS825 It should be if you dispute it, and they don’t get to it in time, then you automatically win the dispute and should be able to monetize it. Hopefully that’s the case.

​@DDS825 They need to hire humans to check out any copyright disputes. It's ridiculous how easy it is for AI to say something is owned by someone else. Surely Google can afford to have a team dedicated to resolving these disputes. Keep grinding player!

In light of these baseless claims, a policy should be implemented to impose a $2,500 fine when such claims are proven false, deterring future occurrences

yea the idea of someone else monetizing off your own work has to be daunting, hope everything gets situated with that. As far as the sampled stuff im still trying to figure that out myself because i know if u not monetizing its no problem but it does seem like u can monetize off of a sampled beat if im not mistaken

As you know, I have plenty of sample beats on here. The copyright owner catches it, and monetizes it. No problem at all. Some people maybe able to chop a sample to a point where they don’t get caught and monetize it.

What is the origin of the sample in question ???? where you using Arcade or some other site??? I understand you can use sites as such to create original content. Just wondering about your situation.

There’s no sample. It was a drum pattern that I was creating in the video. Using samples and loops, I can see how that can happen though.

If you have a logo, just place it in your videos when you edit them. That's what I might start doing sooner or later.

@@KneegrowthPeriodTV I assumed you were talking about uploading your music on KZbin which eventually has to be on a video. If you want to copyright your music, do it the legal way by getting it copyrighted and you should be fine.
