This is exactly what I needed the hear. This is the first spiritual battle I’ve encountered since I became born again in 2019. I went from happily walking with the Lord in the most beautiful light to now feeling lost. But I will put my trust in the Lord because he has prepared me for moments like this. He has revealed the beautiful glory of God where I can never forget.

Here in 2020 with the word of God & reading this book of Samuel; i see God’s people wanting a human as a king & it being saul is a good reason why there are no more prophets, nor leaders nor anything. Bc its all about CHRIST. We all fall short of the glory. 🙏🏼

I never understood with all the sins that David committed but God used him so powerfuly. Pastor Paul you answered my question for so many years in my head. David repented and had a heart after God. Saul gave excuses and did not have a heart after God.

Very beautiful. I learned something new today . It's about the meaning of this statement: ''a man after God's own heart'. David repented when his sin was confronted. That was what made him different from Saul. 🙂

Maybe this is where we get God helps those who help themselves. We have to have the faith that God will give us the victory but we can't just sit back and do nothing. Faith without works is dead

I had the same issue thinking that God would give me the desire of quitting. Until I read in Galatians that not our will,but His. I understood that I could still having the desire, but the predominant was His because He didn't want me to. When I understood this,even my desire was gone.

I heard in another Bible study that in a recent war, some Israeli troops remembered about the craig, and actually used it to win that particular skirmish! I wish I could remember the details, but I found that interesting 😊

Interesting topic at 27:00 about sin and the heart. It seems there is this misunderstanding between believers that still preach law and Christ condemnation and the others who preach grace recognizing that we are born sinners and God forgives our sins. Those that preach law misunderstand what we believe because they think we down play sin and have no regard for the law. But for those who truly believe in the gift of grace know that by walking with Jesus in the heart will in turn bring us closer to the law. We never say it’s ok to sin and just run back to our knees ask for forgiveness and continue the sin again. That’s not grace and I think that what’s those who preach the law compare us to. My walk with Christ is not a straight line to perfection, it’s up and down. But over all I am a different person, I am getting there, I am new creation in Christ🙏🏼

What am I missing here...when did God command Saul not to make a sacrifice?
@CalvaryChapelOntario6 жыл бұрын
What you're missing is that Saul was not a priest. Secondly his offering was not offered out of faith but rather from fear. If you have further questions you are more than welcome to email Pastor Paul directly at paul@ccontario.com.

Hi Naomi, Yes they could be Prophets and Priests, or they could just be Prophets OR Priests, OR they could be a king. A king was not allowed to sacrifice. Only ONE could be Prophet AND Priest AND King - that is Jesus/Yeshua.
