My dealer had both the PJ and Cam Superline. I paid extra for the Cam but certainly had my eyes set on the PJ before our visit. Can't go wrong with either!

I am in the market for a new 5x10 tandem axle dump trailer. I looked at both the BigTex and PJ. After looking at both, I have to say the quality of the PJ was much better. The main thing I noticed was the BigTex used 18 gauge steel sides without being reenforced and the PJ used 10 gauge steel which was reenforced. I always thought BigTex was the best trailer manufacturer out there, but I was wrong!!!

pj should make a dump with a monuted on wood chipper seen one on youtube and knew i abusluley had to have but i haven't noticed any manfactures making one so must have been an aftermarket conversion and if it is panned please make a high side and available as 16 or 18 ft with 7 k axles would be a great machine

The reason why the sides are low on a dump trailer is because with 4 or 5 foot sides some idiot would try to fill it up with sand or gravel. Also Bull dog couplers do not have a latch handle on top of them, they are what is called a clam shell type design, couplers with latches on top, should have been outlawed years ago. I will say that any trailer capable of hauling over 10,000 lbs, that a Goose Neck is the only way to go anyway.

When you buy one of these trailers first thing you do is take it back. If not, nessisary modifications: 1. Weld the "metering gate system" to the trailer perminantly 2. Move the lights up to the gates. 3. Remove ramps from dump portion of trailer install on to main frame of trailer. 4. Replace shitty bad square tubing the lights were installed into. Install 8' of 6" round steel. 5. Build pry locations onto main frame of trailer for overload situations. 6. Get rid of battery in trailer and put 0/1 gage wire to positive and negative connector terminal and run wiring loom to vehicle battery. (Edit:) 7, get rid of the steel tubes they run the wires through and use round light rubber coated wire holders... if they break, your lights will still work. Ta-daaaa!!! Actually usable bulletproof, idiot proof trailer.

I recently purchased a 10 foot pj and I'm having troubles keeping the battery charged. I charge it with my extension cord overnight (and it's charging) then i get to my job site and it's dead. what could be the problem?

Do these trailers not have a trickle charge from the tow vehicle?

They do have a trickle charger, but it's really not enough to ever power the battery quickly if you're making multiple dumps unless you run a separate line straight from the truck battery.

How much gap between bed and gate ? Ones I looked at had 1/2" gap at top of bed and gate so ur load will leak out. Sad they build junk

The door sits flush with the bed of the trailer. Not sure where you seen a PJ with a 1/2" gap.
