The buildable figures from the Legends of Chima line did not look that bad, to be honest. It rather seems to me that they were voted against by some crazed "Lego purists" who simply cannot stand this type of Lego product in general. P.S. - The 'parts-to-price' ratio is often (not always) incredibly overrated. It actually depends on WHAT SIZE the individual Lego pieces/parts are. The volume of stuff you get in the end for your money is the most crucial "metric" in here.

Hilariously, a shop I worked at had those Lego Video sets and we struggled to get rid of them, and corporate was constantly telling us to lower the price to sell them. We eventually went down to something like 75% off before they finally started selling. The boom box car was neat looking, wanted to get it but sadly the moment the sale started scalpers flooded our online orders. The small boxes with just the characters and the plates though, eventually we just started handing them out with other lego purchases. Even got to keep 2 myself for free, they're on my shelf next to my work lanyard. Kinda miss that job.

Vidiyo was done so dirty by not having any of the stage sets in the first release wave, which is a shame because I love the concept. I've always wanted LEGO to do more with music related sets, but a mobile app, four minifigures in plastic iso-cubes, and a handful of blindboxes are not the best foot forward that that Vidiyo needed to have a successful launch. The stage sets are all really good builds though, especially the Boombox stage which is one of my favorite sets that I own.

I’d personally say most of modern Lego is terrible. The sets keep getting smaller and smaller while the price keeps going up and up. It’s a shame as Lego is a fantastic toy for all ages but I’m not willing to pay £30-£40 on a tiny set with only one or two mini figures. The last few sets I bought from Lego before deciding I didn’t want anymore were missing pieces and they were often key pieces you needed to finish the build which just isn’t on Lego. Xx

Luckilly my brother is also a Lego enthusiast and I also enjoy these new sets ... but there's something missing ... but I can't really express, what exactly that is. I feel like sets, for example - the first two I mentioned, had more pieces, more interesting pieces (those tiny, independent ones - coins, gems, guns, snakes, etc.), more moving parts, boxes were more inviting and they always showed you (on the back) what can you also build from the same set ... ahhh, I'm getting nostalgic :)

Ok, one set I can think of? Spybotics G60 Gigamesh. I wouldn't say it's anywhere near as bad as any of the sets here, but this one seemed to have a quality control issue. Specifically, the long Technic beams that run down the sides of the spybot core would often be warped or bent, and sometimes the core was bricked from the factory. Additionally, at $60 a pop for about 260 pieces on average, the Spybotics line in general had some of the worst parts values in LEGO's history, but as they were technically robotics sets it's a bit less of an issue. Honestly, as a whole, Spybotics was an awesome concept but it just never took off.

Just because a set isn't popular, doesn't stop me from buying it. If you wait for the sets to go on clearance, it is a good way to get parts cheaper. I like moc building and have bought sets just for a few new parts. Vidyo is a good example. I picked up a few when the marked them down. The tiles were great for a record store moc. The container that held the tiles made a neat hot tub. When you let your creativity run wild, there is no telling what you'll come up with.

I have almost all jack stone sets. They were my first lego sets when I was 3-4 years old. At the time really the only 4+ kind of lego. As I got older they of course sort of felt off to me. But I will forever have fond memories of those sets. Not to mention some whacky one of a kind pieces.

How can you even have this list without 6492 hypno cruiser making the cut. THAT is an abomination

vidiyo line had interesting tiles and sweet minifigs, but price was too off. i believe 5 euros/dollars or 7 at max would be prety okie deal, but 20 ? nah. as for buildable figures - i have grey wolf (i think its vorizz or worizz, dunno really, i edited him a little) is pretty okay figure. as for price cant say, i got him in huge bag of various hero factory and similiar stuff for 30. it was like 20 figures there. two of em were almost complete witch doctor (with missing shoulder bones/spikes) and von nebulla (missing staff). pretty juicy deal, considering that i was able to do quiet a bunch sweet own figs out of other fig parts.

When I was a kid, I got that little Jack Stone glider in a pack with Lego Stunt Rally (yeah, I don't know why either). I had a lot of fun with Lego Stunt Rally. And for that glider... No one wanted to buy it when I had to move country, so I was forced to keep it. I still have it to this day. I lost my copy of Lego Stunt Rally though. Life's not fair!
