as a dad, I quite enjoyed the "background noise", keeping things genuine.👍

Very cool. I love the little statue on the top.

Thanks! Yes I picked up th statue/spoon years ago with the plan to put it on something! This felt like the right kind of instrument for it.

If I were a tiny kid and my dad was making a diddly bow I'd also be very curious lmao

What gauge string? My next project!! Thanks for your knowledge 🤠 HOWDY FROM TEXAS!!

Howdy, thanks for stopping in. Good question. Depending on your dowel/broom handle its up to you. From memory i used roughly an .030 - but i dont have the unit to check now. Thanks!

Very cool..what size grommet did you use for stringing ?? Thanks for video..
@MikeHawkey4 жыл бұрын
The ferrule at the bottom? - was a standard sized one you might find from a through body tele - just a odd one in my box of bits. Thanks!

what tuning is that in

I don’t rightly recall sorry. G and D are good to go along with my 3 stringers. The beauty of a single string fretless is you can adjust for need.

Nice, but what's that sound in the background? Sounds like your kids saying "yeah, yeah"...lol

What is that annoying sound in the background? It really makes this video less enjoyable.
@MikeHawkey4 жыл бұрын
That would be the Diddley bow in action. Thanks for watching, albeit less enjoyably :)
@jtb86314 жыл бұрын
It sounds like someone shouting really quietly and high pitched. Is that the diddley bow? I had no idea they could make that sort of sound.
@MikeHawkey4 жыл бұрын
Oh, children. They make even more sounds than the diddley bow haha
