#1 "The Songo" Drum Lesson - 5 Easy Steps

I am posting a video on KZbin everyday for the entire month of May. The videos will consist of ideas, grooves, fills, etc, that have helped me develop as a drummer at some point along the way. This is something I am doing for fun and I hope you enjoy them as well.
In this video, I demonstrate The Songo linear groove. I divided it into different sections to make is easy for everyone to learn. Most of the time, students learn it in a out 30 mins. Please, dont hesitate to ask any questions you may have in regards to the video.

To my understanding, it's for instructional purposes. The video was made to teach, not impress. Sometimes if you make a groove too groovy, it makes it harder to actually learn what's going on, and it's better to stick to the basics. I could be wrong, maybe that wasn't his intention, but still, just an idea!
