This lesson looks at the popular Cuban style of Songo. Very similar to Salsa, Songo really lends itself to improvising and other hybrid Latin/Funk styles.

now if I play son clave on left foot is it still Songo ?? or diferent cowbell patterns ??

Songo uses rumba clave. Only the older styles of Latin music, e.g. son montuno and mambo, use son clave. These days, most Afro-Cuban styles like songo or guaguancó use rumba clave.
