talking about the thyroid it is very interesting and hard to get a GP to explain. This video has brought up concerns for me about my daughter who has a goiter which was diagnosed earlier this year by an endocrinologist and he said the only thing to do is surgically remove the whole thyroid! She hasn't been offered thyroxine, or any other suggestions except think about the surgery but don't wait too long.

@@yvie01 Hello, if you allow me to suggest about your daughter’s goiter. As Dr. Bright mentioned it at the interview, she said goiter is the lack of Iodine. Tried to get another opinion, and tried to save her thyroid. Don’t take it out. Don’t do the thyroidectomy, try to reach Dr. Bright and see if she can help her or direct your daughter to the right treatment or path. I wish you both the best. I don’t have my thyroid and the scary time of not having it, is the damage to your bones. I reached osteopenia stage, for years being cold, my bones felt so fragile, didn’t tolerate warm water, it was too cold for me!!! Cramps were so painful and uncontrollable. Spasms, Allergies, and the list goes on and on. I prescribed myself high doses of Vitamin D3, K2, Magnesium, and most of my potassium get it through my diet, I eat red meat, butter, eggs, bacon, and that help me reverse osteopenia, I am 59 yo. And my bones are not cold and don’t hurt anymore. None of my Drs. prescribe me this trails minerals. My PD. actually prescribed me a medication to treat Parkinson’s because of my cramps and spasms. So don’t stop searching help to save your daughter’s thyroid. God bless you and guide you to the right Dr. 🙏💗

I just wanted to share a little testimonial. I had let a coworker know about lugols iodine since she's had a partial thyroidectomy. Not long after she shared that she started to give some to her adult son who has suffered schizophrenia. Just adding the iodine helped him so much. I think this is the right group to share this with. I was a mess for years beginning at age 30. I called it freaky brain problems. I would have periods of flare ups. My heart would pound. I would have super energy for a few days followed by weeks of fatigue. I was freezing cold, hair falling out. Unexplained Weight loss followed by weight gain. Sometimes Stuttering, unable to find words. Temporary numbness in body parts. Temporary vibrating feeling. Temporary feeling of suffocation. Ravenous appetite. Then no appetite. Occasional Fuzzy, snowy vision. My optic nerve was enlarged in one eye. Muscle twitching constantly. Almost fainting on the regular, thirsty. Zero help from doctors. Keto, extra salt, and iodine have helped me a ton.

It is always so refreshing to hear Dr Bright reaffirm the fact puberty & menopause aren't supposed to be traumatic. I spent a lot of time around women when I was young. My mother was a social butterfly with Lipedema & massive childhood trauma. Her way to combat this was to visit women in their homes. I was an only child, being brought along & I was able to listen to countless hours of life stories. During the last 20 years, there's been this tremendous push to label puberty, pregnancy, children & menopause as traumatic events designed to be against women. When I noticed this happening, I dove deep into reflection against all those conversations. Not once do I ever remember the women discussing traumas around those cycles of life. They would freely discuss a bad husband, a death, etc., they weren't hiding things. They just weren't experiencing this nose dive in hormonal health. Of course, they all came from farms or had access to grassfed meats, dairy, eggs, a garden. None of them thought they had to see a doctor every month. Few were on medications. I miss those times. The trauma aspect is such an integral part to all of this. Wonderful talk, thank you ❤

Reminds me of the scene in "The Boys" spin off. A girl was so shocked when she got her period she developed superpowers which was bloodbend. She paniced when she discovered blood and when her parents came in she killed them by accident. I already thought this was this most stupid hero origin story I ever witnessed. But not its I think those ideas are actually toxic to woman and man. Natural development of your body should neither be a tabu nor traumatic. For many years I've not eaten much more than 500 kCal/day and gained so much wt in the last 10 years. With all of my GI issues that I've suffered with and were getting increasingly worse earlier this year I knew something was wrong. Why after a lifetime of never weighing over 100lbs, I'm now 180lbs! Twice the woman I've always been, and I am disgusted by it. Recently my PCP diagnosed me with non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. So I quit eating processed foods, I only eat whole foods, mostly meat, eggs, cruciferous and dark green leafy vegies. NO processed oils. In 6 months I was able to reverse the fatty liver according to my labs. My Dr. that was opposed to my diet was so shocked! I am a disabled/retired RN and worked until I could no longer walk or even supervise without a wheelchair and my work was trying to push me out when I quit my last nursing job. Butter is helpful for bone health and healing! I have felt like I've had thyroid issues for many years. But after my bi-yearly blood work they tell me my thyroid is fine. My young PCP does not even know how to do a head to toe assessment. I do know how to correctly do a thyroid physical assessment and tried to teach him... I feel a few small nodules on my thyroid but my Dr. is not able to assess them. And to those in nursing homes, my patients were nearly all being given Synthroid. I have read that that medication has very little effect on our thyroid function. I look back on all the wasted bs medications and treatments we gave to our elderly residents and it really angers me now that I know better. It was truly, and probably still is, Medicare fraud in reality. Thank you for all the good information.

I was forced to get the radiation treatment too - told I was out of options and given synthroid for life. I stopped taking it after a decade because I hated it (and them) for what they took from me, every single day. It’s been a gradual transition, but I started with bone broths and eventually found myself at (mostly) keto, and now shifting to (mostly) carnivore, including some organ meats like liver. I can honestly say I’m astonished how good I feel in my body atm, and “the big changes” are just starting to show themselves. Zero meds! - But more importantly I think, no seed oils, ultra processed foods, cut sugar. The body is capable of self-healing, with the right support. I’m sorry to hear about your mom, what they do to thyroid patients in The System is pure evil, and I truly believed their narrative that was the only way. 🙏🏻 Hopefully she is at peace now.

When one has a thyroid problem, it's impossible to not be in stress mode most of the time. Depression, stress are an inherent part of thyroid issues sufferers. You tear more easily than others, much more sensitive and emotional. It's a roller coaster life. Supportive family members who try not trigger stress, anger and nervousness helps alot. Thyroid is one of the worse health problems because it affects everything. Blood, skin, vital organs, mood, well being and even sexual problems.:(

Everyone is different. A high fat/meat diet just did not suit me longterm. I developed Liver problems and was told I need to stop consuming so much fat. I cut back to eating meat just 2/3 times a week and reduced my Liver problems. One size does not fit all. Trust and listen to your body.

Did not suit me either. I cut out all animal products, ate more salads, drank coconut water, consumed chia seeds, avocado, coconut meat, steamed veggies and fruit, and never felt better. My skin glowed and my aches and pains all disappeared. Meat aged me, dehydrated me, caused me to have constipation and perspiration issues due to the toxicity. Also the cruelty to animals was another factor that woke me up.

Perhaps it's not the carnivore diet that's helping people but the fact they are eliminating processed foods from their diet. I think eating healthy and incorporating some healthy fats into your diet is the key. Unfortunately in our society, if we think something is good for us such as healthy fats we overdo it. Everything in moderation is the what we should strive for. And yes I agree we are not all the same and what works for one person may not be what's best for someone else.

Yeah, I was in all sorts of pain and desperately tried anything. Finally tried something called 8 constitution medicine (Korean) and damn if it didn't take away all the pain. It's the idea that there are 8 body types, each with a specific organ strengths and weaknesses. Each body type has a different recommended diet. Each is VERY different. Some can eat meats others no meats, others alcohol is fine, some, no alcohol, different veggies, some no nightshade for others it's fine, etc. Each body types requirements are so different! The goal of the system is to eliminate inflammation, through diet. It worked amazing for me, and the diet surprised me. Since then, I realized everybody is so different. There is no one solution, you have to realize what might be good for one person might be upsetting to your body. Pay attention to what you eat and following reactions.

This doctors mother sounds a lot like my wife. She’s in the hospital with a tube draining fluid from her heart right now. She has been tired and sick a lot since Covid. But lately she gained weight and just like the mother had her foot operated on in the past. Before my wife met me now married for 20 years she too was insecure about her looks. She would survive on nachos and Marlboros to stay little. She was so beautiful the first time I laid eyes on her. And she is more beautiful today than ever. She gets prettier with time. I hope she pulls thru this difficult time. She has no appetite, and she needs to eat. The are running tests on her thyroid now because a day ago it wasn’t working properly. I’m so worried about her I can t sleep for days. I hope she can get well and healthy soon. I scared I’m starting to see the beginning of the end of her. And she’s 9 years older than me. I’m 53 I need to get her health somehow someway to slow down the coming of the end of our lives. I’m not going to be of much value to my buisness, or myself if something happens to her. I’m going to be so lost and alone. I just don’t see myself getting into another relationship. It wouldn’t be the same. No one can replace Beverly. I hope we can learn from the info given from videos like this to help my wife live longer.

Having gone through thyrotoxicosis, hashitoxicosis, postpartum thyroiditis, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, hashimotos, call it what you want, I’ve spent many hours wishing I’d have gotten whatever “tier” cancer instead, as that’s the “loved illness” in society, cancer charities, cancer runs, cancer ribbons 🎀 blah blah blah all for overgrowth or sugar stuffed molecules I’d know how to heal, easy. But this thyroid madness, this invisible illness and the years of medical gaslighting and being treated as annoying hypochondriac, as the lunatic, or being told “you’re fine” just because you’re skinny and pretty and the fat doctor doesn’t want to run the labs… oh man. I’m freshly postpartum with my third child now and doing my best to push off that pp thyroid it is wall, because it’s hell and because I want to give my best self to my family as they haven’t seen her Yet, and nor have I really. While nursing watching these carnivore community videos, eating my fats and proteins, and cursing whomever brainwashed my mother into raising us as vegetarians… she turned earth with bare hands gardening “for our health”, meanwhile my bones deteriorated, developing flat feet, scoliosis, bowed legs and osteoarthritis by my twenties… I even have arthritis in my neck and my ankle and knees snap with every step.. I’m very well provided for, and I will be the one with a massive healing story to share but I know there’s plenty of people who simply run themselves to the ground trying to swim against the current of this plant based genocide. Stay strong people ❤

I had tried to be keto so many times and for a multitude of reasons would fall off the wagon continually. Going cold turkey to carnivore was the only thing that worked for me. No counting carbs, no stress on finding all the low carb foods. Just eat meat. So simple. So doable. 200 days carnivore now and have reversed fatty liver. Considerably reduced t2d meds, ceased bp med, reduced heart meds by 3/4, significantly improved depression and anxiety and lost 46lbs. Looking forward to getting off all meds. @@LaughingblueSu Still doing really well. I have flu at the moment but even the way my body handles that is improved. Previously I avoided anyone who had flu cause I knew it would be not one week of illness but at least 4 and then the cough would go on for more weeks on top of that. This is my second flu over the past almost year on carnivore and the first one I was feeling over it in a week. I am 5 days into this current flu and no sign of lung infection(had pneumonia twice in the past) No sign of sinus infection. Still have a residual cough but a lot better already. And something else quite surprising. I am a carrier of haemachromatosis which means i can retain too much iron in the body which will damage organs. I was concerned about this going into carnivore as it is predominantly red meat. You would think that would increase my already too high iron but when I tested, my iron level had halved taking me smack bang into the middle of normal range. Triglycerides have almost halved and HDL is higher than it ever has been for me(that is the so called good cholesterol). My sense of smell has improved dramatically. I would not have known if I had stepped in a doggy doo previously. Dermatitis completely gone. I can feel I have built muscle though I have not exercised to do that. Still have hip pain but i have good days where the pain is much less. still have bad days at this point. Will be one year carni on 6 June. Looking forward to what the next year of it brings.

The interviewer is terrific. She asks a lot of pertinent questions. And if she doesn't understand something ......she'll ask "why"? She sounds as though she has a background in medicine. I don't understand some of those quirky medical-patois that Dr Bright uses. BWTBS, I shall be re-listening to this superb and enlightening video again, as there's a lot to digest here. Well done & thank you, 5minuteBody!🧡

Thank you so much for sharing information, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease when I was in my mid thirties and I am now 75 and have not taken medication for the last 10 years my TSH was 9 but I have been on carnivore for the last 9 months. I do not have any symptoms and will get tested again after Christmas. Love how I feel eating this way. Such great information will love to put this into practice thanking you so much

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 20 yrs ago. Im 61. I have been carnivore for one month Im hoping my thyroid will start producing thyroid hormones on its own again. May I ask how long it took you being a carnivore to stop thyroid meds? I will definitely be getting a lot of lab work in my future. My retired doctor is pro carnivore and keto. My doctor now knows nothing about nutrition or thyroid Thanks

Hi Jane, becoming carnivore for Hashimoto is why l am here but I’m too afraid to give up the thyroid medication. Am l just being stupid as l am now carnivore?

@@sofiamiliaressis5403 Don't give up your medication . Go testing it before , and your Dr. Will see with you if you can bring your medication lower , and you will feel yourself on hyper thyroid symptoms .

@@sofiamiliaressis5403the fear mongering is real… I had the same issue. Eventually I quit taking the meds out of hatred and disgust for The System. Listen to your body. It has a lot to say, if you let it. I found carnivore by accident, just getting started. I quit those meds much before, but had made other key dietary changes (cut seed oils, ultra-processed foods, sugar) switched to bone broths, eventually keto-ish and now leaning carnivore. Feeling better than ever in my body (unbelievable), and am sure the big changes are just beginning to show themselves. I have hope for you. Good luck on your health journey. 🙏🏻

Thank you for posting that. I had heavy metal toxicity badly. My test readings were way off the charts I subsequently developed hypothyroidism ( although when my tsh wa like 5 to 7 range the doctors told me that was fine duh!).

"the thyroid test ranges are too wide"!! I was always low but within range yet felt poorly. At one point I said I wanted to be medicated to just above mid-range. It helped a lot!
@les9058
@les9058 5 ай бұрын
As with ALL test'n... The range needs to be read with an eye to where you are in the ok range so 'low normal' means you often are have'n issues... If so, then nutritional support is the 1st thing to address, meds are often Not ONLY incomplete to worthless for improvement, but Can add further issues.... So Start with that and if you improve along with your test scores you're on the right track for You! Same if high normal! Only those with true mid range 'normal' scores on ALL points TSH 3-4 & antibodies thyroiditis, can consider it accurate to them! Why so many are Over looked and denied help fall'n barely in range.... It's like about to fall off the bed, but Still hang'n on means your ok -Not hardly0, don't accept that brush-off especially with the symptoms present your body's tell'n you something's outta sync. ✌️
