Great guide, I've never really liked Tiandi only had 1 rep with him and always hated fighting against him, but recently I've been trying to get all of my characters to rep 5 at least and since he's got a rework he's a bit more fun to play. Still hate fighting against a good one like yourself, but thanks for adding your tips for how to counter them, I'm sure I will come back to this video many times. Keep it up!

Wow so I’m not surprised then when every time I face a tiandi I feel like it’s too much iQ, it’s just he has so much advantage in everything I’m a main orochi and this videos really helps me a lot, it’s just like when a couldn’t beat Highlander’s and whatch a video from a guy called mulisius, and he told me to just try to defend the first light and pretty much you win, after that I no longer struggle against him, this video is gonna help me a lot to improve, thanks man❤

Glad I could help! Yeah it’s basically the fact that Tiandi can do so much and not really anything that deals with the player. It’s more like the character is carrying most players if that makes sense. Defending against the first light is a good idea! Good defense is one of Tiandi’s weakness. It’s why characters like Musha, WL, and Kyo absolutely destroyed him before rework. They still stand a good chance now I believe.

Tiandi and Zhanhu should be able to dodge out of a bash since they're both dodge specialists. Orochi isn't. They should be the only two that can do this. Pirate shouldn't.

I literally just dodge cancel spam the undodgeable light and bash and that can get you pretty far against most players. Throw in a dodge forward heavy every once in a while to bait a party and a side dodge heavy when they have their parry mindset at a different timing and it's pretty oppressive. It's scummy asf, I know, but it's funny as shit when you're fighting someone who just won't stop dodging. Anyways I main Shao Lin because I like undodgeable bash mixups, but Tiandi is extremely fun.

I’ve hit so many people with a palm strike heavy it’s funny I’d palm strike light then palm strike heavy and they just don’t expect it 😂

One thing, that I totally found out in purpose and not in accident, dodge lights work *kinda* like everyone else superior blocks, so you can CC external attacks while getting ganked. Everyone with CC moves can do it,but I think Tiandi has the hardest time since he needs to actively dodge instead of pressing the attack buttong

You can dodge into the direction to block them or if you’re fast enough you can CC them from palm strike!

Yes, anything that’s not unblockable or a bash. But there’s no point in doing it when you could just parry for more damage if you know it’s coming
