Hullo Anthony, I commend your efforts and expertise with these markers! It is easy to see how effortlessly you make it look! I just purchased the entire range of Ohuhu Honolulu markers with the Brush & Fine tips and they are ever bit as good as the Copic's! Now I have some 200 Copic markers and have been very happy with them for many years, but when the Ohuhu markers went on sale I could not pass them up! Replacement nibs as well as replacement inks? They have become the markers to beat and nobody is doing that! Great video and so excited for the return of the series! Woo Hoo!

Excellent work! Super excited for the return of Style Swap! I was actually just thinking about this earlier today that I have missed seeing it. One that crossed my mind was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but doing the original Eastman and Laird style for the regular style for the characters. Could even do a four part series with each of the turtles and using a different regular turtle style for each one.

I really love the energy you carry. It feels a bit like you're going a lot on repeat though, the same kind of video's. Maybe it's because I'm not a marker artist, but I really miss you playing with other materials. I love the vibrancy of the Amazon side, but that’s about it. I’m just about all other areas I prefer the copic side. Great comparison! I think this really shows off one of the strength of copics really well: the ease of use. You can just throw some marker on the paper and get a nice result, or you can go all out and spend a lot of time and effort to get an amazing g result. But I think copics work for a variety of skill levels and desired outcomes.

hi I am a 50year old fossil and I have been watching your channel for over a year now and I would like to say Thankyou for getting me through a rough patch oin my life (had had to under go several operations on my legs and have been laid up for some time now I have learnd a lot from you and now feel confident to start doing my own colouring and art the one thing I would love to know is how do you go about getting suppliers to send you samples of there products as this would come in very handy for me due to being outr of work for over a year now (rarther hard up at the moment wage wise ) but I would like to say Thank you for your videos and the laughs I have had

I'm happy (?) to report that Sharpies released a skin tone series. Alcohol markers (as a whole) are great because you can still get nice results with a limited palette. Edit: I'm impressed with how you adapted with the Amazon Markers. The copic side is my fav but it's not saying the Amazon side was bad either. Great work!

Just thought I'd mention that Amazon most likely stole the design of those pens from one of their sellers and remarketed them as their own... and likely lowered the appearance of the other brand in the search algorithm. They're known for it at this point. Alcohol markers are better for art and Ohuhu is a great brand that is cheaper and higher quality.

“Stole” implies theft. Lots of art supplies are simply rebranded (as in they paid the original maker, not stole) supplies. Dick Blick colored pencils are widely suspected to be licensed from Koh-I-Noor, since they pencils are a one to one match in pencils, names, even lightfast ratings…but! They contractually can’t say (direct from a Dick Blick employee who actually tried to find that information for me). I doubt that Amazon did anything but pay some third party to use their stuff and rebrand it. But yeah, I highly recommend Ohuhu if you want a quality alcohol marker for a great price. I like my Copic even more, but I’m a past master at finding them for $2-3 each.

@@bruceschlickbernd8475 You should do some research on it. That is what they're doing and it's blatant at this point. They've also said that they're fine working their employees until they're burned out, firing them and hiring new people to overwork and fire. Their drivers are having to pee and poo in bags and bottles because of the severe time constraints Amazon puts on its workers. Their trucks didn't have AC until recently even in areas where the temp was regularly over 100⁰ in the summer. They have all their employees wear a Fitbit type bracelet that records their steps and other stuff and a lot of these people are now getting fired electronically on that watch. Can you imagine? Talk to some Amazon workers. I'm sure there are discords or reddits where you can find and talk to them. Seriously. Don't take my word for it. There are a million videos on YT about it, too. They're a horrible and very unethical company.

i would love to see a battle between digital art and your favourite marker... not sure how you would do that, you would probably have get the digital half printed somewhere with a really good printer, but i think that would be a fun comparison all the same, as theoretically you have infinite colours to choose from digitally.

i know you’re mainly a marker guy, but amazon basics coloured pencils are amazing for their price. 72 pencils, and of course they don’t blend like a prisma, but they do blend. they are great, really pigmented, i’d recommend them to those on a budget and or starting out. amazon basics products although cheap, aren’t necessarily rubbish 😊

I blend acrylic markers the same way, create a wet palette on the actual art piece and it does the job well to create those colours you're missing. For permanent markers, those actually did a really good job.

I'm asthmatic and the fumes of sharpies trigger asthma coughs with me. Only sharpies mind you, all other alcohol markers are just fine. So if the Amazon basics markers have the same problem, I'll give them a pass

just keep practicing with all of them. i'm sure in the future you will reach the level of ADC here. maybe even try and copy how he colors to see if it works for you. and i'm pretty sure there's others on youtube that made tutorials on how to best use alcohol markers. just keep trying. :)

Cool video idea. Draw your picture, have Siri choose a random number for how many markers to choose, blindly choose your markers no cheating and color it in with the few markers and colors you got. Everything could turn out great or horrible depending on the color choices.

You should put Sharpie aganst Bic markers the name brand dupe that also smells worse Also any knock off sharpie smells bad some worse then others I actually love sharpies and the smell dont bother me Id rather smell them then some other options😂I miss the sharpie brush tip they didnt hit like they thought but totaly worth the big pk I think the biggest was 16 or 18 worth it but those look like a sharpie brush dupe also theyv got different/skinner ones now but theyr not the same

For $5 i can get 12 pack of alcohol markers and they work as well as copic. I don't think the Amazon are worth it but neither are the copics cuz you can get prismacolor for half that and even use a coupon for them.
