Seriously, appreciate your wisdom and advice. Thank you! I feel the need to respond to you mentioning that some people get tired of hearing about the charity you support. I will never get sick of hearing about Camp Kicking Bear. Sounds like an excellent charity to support.

Afternoon Food Source is the number one way. Deer feeds 5 times a day. One in early morning, one in the afternoon and one before dark. So we need to focus on afternoon food plots.

Very informative, thank you. About to start hunting axis deer here in Hawaii and I see them every time I drive late at night, but rarely during the day

I’m hunting whitetail/mule/elk on Montana public land (non-resident). This advice is great for each species. Find the preferred afternoon food, and bucks relating to it 👍
@kurtpearson27932 жыл бұрын
@Number 1 Fan I’m watching a lot of mule/elk videos and most begin with finding the deer first. In most cases altitudes dictate what food is peaking, and where there’s food…. 🦌

Thank you for the amazing content! Never ending wealth of knowledge. Building my own 20 acres with your help. Tough figuring out stand locations with a prevailing West Wind, Ag Fields, Lot Line Sitters, but I know I need food and Buck Bedding area. Lots of Standing Old Christmas trees that need to be thinned to get "early successional growth", and Switch! Keep it coming!

Gi Chris! In most areas you rarely see any until mid to late June. Last year mine began to emerge in July 😊 Still VERY early...

Now that's a good video good strategy while you were talking in that video I was studying in my head a particular but corridor that goes north to south and has a tee off y-shaped trail I think I'll try to put a stand up along that tee off y-shaped trail to catch him on that afternoon run I just need to learn more about the wind and the thermals

Hi Jeff, first time doing your buckwheat no till. I just put down the recommended amount of lime in my plot a week ago, how long should I wait to spray PlotStart?
@whitetailhabitatsolutions97512 жыл бұрын
That's great Greg! I apply the Plot Start when I plant

Do you fertilize/lime before you plant buckwheat or when you plant your fall plantings?

“Hunting” on public might be easier, but killing is easier on private. At least in my experience here in Central Florida.

Hey Jeff which Fimco sprayer do you use on your kubota? Thinking about getting one for my ranger. And great video as always!
@whitetailhabitatsolutions97512 жыл бұрын
Hello! This is the one I am using now and I like it even better for a few reasons. I would get it with the 10' boom. *Higher quality fittings, larger hoses, easier to fit in the side by side and over the tailgate to name a few. I have the 5' multi boom and then I would personally recommend the 10' for all around use. master-mfg.com/product/50-gallon-deluxe-utv-precision-broadcast-sprayer/ They are from Valley Industries out of MN...great local company that has been around for decades

Jeff, if you were to create a food plot on 200 acres of all timber (No ag around), how big would you make the plot? Thanks!

Jeff, can I spray quincloric and atrazine on my switch grass to control weeds this summer? If so, what is the amount per acre?
@curtbetzler35262 жыл бұрын
I've shot a lot nice bucks year after year just putting my time in in the woods dark to dark there is no substitute for time spent in the woods my dad's land is just 50 acres no food plots no baiting just waiting for the other hunters to push them threw it works great!!!!!!!
@RS-ms1bz2 жыл бұрын
Jeff, it all boils down to not spooking deer, am I right? Educate the deer, and the deer will definitely give you a lesson that will hurt the rest of your season.

Last year, I saw deer bedding to the left of my stand now right. I walked right & went right on them bedding… Would it be wise to assume they’re not showing up for a few days?

Does this tactic work all season, or does this mostly apply to early season and late season? Does this still apply once the chase phase starts?
