If you come to Costa Rica you should visit Jacó beach, Manuel Antonio Park (beach) or just Manuel Antonio Coast, Tamarindo beach (for clubbing and stuff and a great beach), El Coco beach is cool too. More on the mountain / volcano side u can visit San Carlos hot springs like Baldi (it's a hotel but u can pay just to be at the hot springs). If u are going to stay like a day in Alajuela (where the International Airport of Costa Rica is located) u could visit Poás Volcano but u should check if it's open for tourists since it could be active idk.., if u need emergency Starbucks there's also one in Alajuela at Plaza Real and some others in nearby cities. U can check out trips to Tortuga Island, those are nice and cheap. Always be safe, never go anywhere alone and don't exchange dollars to the local currency with locals, u can pay in US dollars (except $50 and $100 bills).
