You can actually buy a breathing alarm for her crib. They're sold at target and walmart. I have one for my daughter. It is amazing. It's just 2 sensor pads that go under her mattress or blankets & if the baby stops breathing for more than 20 seconds the alarm will go off. I love it !

I had a c-section 6 months ago and still have numbness under my belly button to the scar. It's amazing that even after going through a major surgery you can carry on and enjoy your baby, my partner was so proud that I also got out of bed and started walking around the day after my c-section.. the things you do for love!!!

I had a C-Section at 37 weeks 18 months ago. I had all my feeling back by 2 weeks postpartum. I am now 29 week pregnant with my 2nd. I wanted to try for a VBAC but due to placenta issues, I will be having a repeat C-section. You guys are so much fun to watch!

I've had 6 back surgeries (and having my 7th tomorrow) and I've lost a lot of feeling around my incision on my back. It never did come back even since the 1st surgery. So I wouldn't be surprised if your c-section incision was alittle numb. My dr told me it can take up to 9 months though for nerves to grow back. So you may have time yet :) Congratulations again!!

I've had 3 c-sections and never got the feeling back after any of them but it's not a big deal. I'm glad you had a positive experience with your csection, you always hear people talk so negatively about them & they're really not that bad.

My daughter is almost 8 months and my tummy is still numb. I got a little feeling back, but not all...about an inch above is still numb. My doctor told me after the first year mark whatever feeling you get back is all your probably get. Glad your recovery is easy for you! You have a beautiful little girl! :)

LOVE ALL THE GAINES FOOTAGE!! I'm only 11 weeks past c- section, but it's the weirdest feeling to not have sensation on your stomach. The worse part is when it itches, and you can't scratch.

I felt the same way! I was soooo stressed out during my pregnancy and always getting scared that my baby had died and I wouldn't even know it until my next ultrasound. But as soon as my baby was here I was just so RELIEVED. Because then I could always go over and check on him and see that he was perfectly fine. There's so much reassurance when they're just finally HERE. :)

Katie I was the same as far as pain after the c section. I was up walking around. The only pain meds I took at home was regular ibuprofen. The only time I got emotional was one of our first nights home I was so tired I just started crying because I just needed more than 1 hour of sleep, but Andy told me to go to bed and he took care of her for the next few hours. She's so adorable and tiny.

I've had 3 c-sections, last one being 2012 and I just now have feeling back in my scar. The only thing I have is during colder weather I still get the sharp shooting pain up my spine. Congrats on the smooth recovery.

It's kind of weird when it itches and I am not able to feel it. :P I too had an emergency C-section, so having no feeling, to me was no big deal, because it was all worth it to have my baby girl here safe and sound! I had read a study done that women that have suffered a miscarriage or multiple miscarriages are less likely to suffer from post partum depression. I'm glad you are feeling great!

Oh and from my own experience with babies, once a good baby-always a good baby!!! My first was an amazing baby and started sleeping through the entire night by a couple months old....always did great!! My 2nd was horror...she nursed every 30-45 mins for the first basically 6 months, she would spit up and be hungry again constantly, it was rough! (Breastfed both) and I am so excited that our 3rd baby girl is a GREAT baby...she sleeps 3 hours at a time and only wakes up to nurse and poop/pee, it's amazing :) congrats on having a good baby, it's wonderful!!!

I was good up until this past week or two then I noticed them big time and I've been using coconut oil religiously ! Prolly is genetic. That I'm im really small and petite. I'm not to worried they are so worth it for what u get!

Katie my kids are 14 & 12; and I had a hysterectomy by C-section in 2006 (at age 26 years old) and I still have NO feeling in the C-section incision. Gaines is so beautiful & I am so happy for you all....

Was thinking the same exact thing... So happy for them that they finally got their baby girl and she's so beautiful, but PLEASE PLEASE take it easy with her she's kind of a premie and a new born... Swinging her like that and not letting her rest much is overwhelming for baby. Also PLEASE PLEASE don't let your cute doggies like her mouth(yucky they lick their parts-butt) showing love is cool, but they're still animals. Anyways I'm a new subscriber and love how you're both such amazing people and an awesome couple!!! Not wanting to be mean, just be careful guys :). I've had three C sections and my last one was almost 12 years ago. There is still a small area down on my belly that is knumb even after all this time. It's kind of annoying, but you learn to live with and love your birth battle wounds, lol. You guys are doing awmazing!!!!!!!!!!!

my second son was an emerge c section it was a bad, bad experience and lots of pain but after the second or third day with walking around the hospital i was much better but the numbness never went away i have scar tissue aches tugs but the whole area above the scar and three inches up its still like dead. my stomach muscles have never come back there either but my tummys super flat so i dont sweat the small stuff haha! when you get the ok do the kegels and 'close the coat' exercises do them daily till your stomach muscles are back to your satisfaction. its easier to lose the baby weight with the first kid, after each one its a tiny bit more difficult, not that you cant get rid of it but it takes more of an effort to get rid of it. you look fantastic and are doing amazing considering all youve gone through, youre a super trooper!

I've had 2 c-sections (my youngest is 2.5 y/o) and I don't have all the feeling back but it did get better. It's mostly numb around the incision scar now whereas my whole lower tummy was numb for a few months postpartum.

Had a c-section after about 6 months I feel everything in my abdomen besides right where the scar is. When the nerves are growing back it is a painful tingle that feels like needles when touched. That started after a month or two.

I had a c section 18 months ago and still have some numbness around the scar. It's really nice to see you doing so well after. I was definitely a hormonal mess... I cried watching the price is right wi th her only bacaus the contestant was pregnant. :)
