Bless your heart. I'm about halfway through your story and I just hope your baby is well past the hard parts and living his best life. Edited to add: He turned into a happy and cute little chunk! I'm so glad it worked out for you honey... Edited one more time to add: Honey, don't miss out on enjoying your baby. I know it's been a hard road but you are so blessed. So blessed. Not only did he make it, he's thriving. As soon as you possibly can, get him on a piano. Also, a balance bike. I recommend strider. It's not about trying to force him to do anything. It's about giving him the exposure and opportunity to reach. Piano is very, very get for getting the right and left sides of the brain talking to each other. That's what I used to help mine.

Aw thanks so much for your comment! Blessed is an understatement, so many miracles happened for our little boy. He does have a balance bike and loves it! Great idea about getting into piano, I’ll look into it :)

Currently having a NICU baby. Gave birth at 29 weeks and she is on CPAP machine started on breast milk at 0.5 ml at every 4 hours.... We are at 30 week gestation age. I am crying because I am scared too and I'm doing this journey alone😢 I hope my baby girl gets healthy

Your baby should do just fine. First, she's female. For reasons I don't understand, girls do better with prematurity than boys do. Second, she's at least half black. My son is mixed too and one thing they told me when they took him at 37 weeks was that because of his race, he would most likely be able to breathe on his own. By this point, they were freaked out to the point that they were scaring the hell out of me. He was tiny but healthy. 4lbs 12oz. But he was also only 18in long. I'm 5'2" so he's just small. The point is, your daughter has a very, very good chance of being absolutely fine. I suspect she's probably moved forward to just growing enough to go home. She's be fine honey.

My grandson celebrated his 16th birthday on 15th November 2024 ..... He was born at 28 week gestation and weighed 2lbs born ...he had a heart operation at 1 week old and was in hospital fo the first 6 months of his life .... When he came home he had to be on oxygen which they had piped through out the home .... My daughter got to hold him for the first time on Christmas day ...she said it was the best Christmas present ever xxxxx

God bless you and your baby. I gave birth at 27 weeks because I had preeclampsia and he was growth restricted. He was only 1lb at birth and has been in the NICU for a week and 3 days. Please pray for us 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽. I cry almost everyday 😢 I pray my son can have the same success as you and your family did.
