Hi Adrienne! A couple of months ago I went through breakup number 3 with a man I had been on and off with for over a year. One day he told me that he had gone out for drinks with an ex girlfriend earlier that week. This was someone he had actually left me for during breakup number 2! I knew that he had been talking with her on the phone as well regularly. He claimed he was just helping her talking about her work problems, etc and that he actually disliked her as a person anymore. I told him my boundary that I felt very uncomfortable with him going out for drinks and talking on the phone with an ex girlfriend. He declined my boundary. I accepted his no and said if he can't respect my healthy boundary I was going to move on. Which I did. Not even a week later I found out he had lied and was actually actively pursuing this ex girlfriend. Thank you for your life changing help Adrienne!!!! ❤

In the same vein, I have found if a man is talking about how “annoying” a woman is, but you didn’t ask lol and he’s not cutting contact with her. Usually, he has feelings for her that he is explaining away or just now realizing he has.

Adrienne this new video style with live callers and getting to have a real audio conversation with them is EVERYTHING. This is what I loved most about FEMM was the recorded calls with fellow goddesses, so helpful to have them in these live videos! When you were answering 1-2 sentance typed comments before, it felt pretty easy to see my situation in them and even easier to discount your response sometimes by saying to myself "well, this person sounds like they're going through something like I am, BUT my situation is different because of x, y, or z sooooo I don't have to listen to adrienne about this one" but now that the question askers are able to input their additional info and nuances as well it's easier for me to understand why your response usually stays about the same and really how clear cut and simple this stuff is - my situation isn't special enough to not get to follow the "rules" lol. Thank you for this vid!

So many Golden Nuggets Adrienne 💥 Discussing expectations, verbalising boundaries is Paramount, Essential to a successful Mutually Respectful relationship 💥 TY 4 keeping it Real 😎😘 If I want to be married versus common law, how do you bring it up If you change your mind throughout the relationship or you realize that going along with them is keeping you hanging on....fearing upsetting him or fearing the inevitable. These fundamentals should be discussed at the onset so neither of you waste your time, become emotionally invested or think they will cave over time. Fantasy magical thinking is detrimental and can complicate the situation. Before discussing our deal breakers we need to know ourselves and what WE really want. Our priorities may change in life based on individual circumstances, and that's okay. Keeping it real keeps life copasetic cuz life is complicated enough .

That makes sense once you explain it. I did not realize that respect trumps love in a mans brain....I wonder if that subconsciously applies to women without us realizing as I despise being disrespected. Its a good reminder to not assume we think the same, men are from mars and women from venus right. Truthbomb💥 Excellent advice to accept a mans " no " versus going head to head or challenging him. His no is a NO just like our no means NO. Accepting his no is a silent boundary, respecting his decision is Honoring and Validating his feelings. He may decide to change his mind if his feelings change but he has to reach his own decision. Its not a debate its accepting and acknowledging his feelings 💥

Hi Adrienne, what is a good way to handle it when you are good at board games? I am really good at board games and word games - I'm not at all competitive, but games are just something I'm naturally very good at and enjoy very much. Men don't seem to like it when I win or get a better score than them. Women don't like it either. What am I supposed to do? Tone down my light and always just pretend to lose? Like I say, it's not a competitive thing for me, word games and board games just genuinely bring me joy.
@AdrienneEverheart2 жыл бұрын
I really love this question because you’re ultimately the superior player, but you want to have friends and people to play with. There is a great book I recommend, called the 48 laws of power. I think it is OK to let other people win once in a while. I am also good at some games, even when I let other people get ahead, I somehow win by a twist in the game. 🤷🏻♀️ You can walk away knowing that this other person feels good about themselves by winning. And You like having someone to play a game with. So if you enjoy your company and you understand that they might become a better board game player by gaining confidence, this tactic may serve you. But in general, no don’t suppress your superpowers unless you stand to gain something more valuable.

I once read in the book men are from Mars women are from Venus the importance of accepting a no occasionally. It said it's important for the man to know that you can accept a no . And to ask the man to something even when you probably already no the answer is no anyway to ask and then accept. Now this can be for little things like oh can you pick up take out tonight..etc. (an easy no ) that he will be more inclined to say yes to other things when you are ok with a no here and there...

Adrienne, I’m not sure if this is in your VIP library 📚. Another great way to meet men is to go to an international ski resort for skiing lessons ⛷. I didn’t do it to meet men. It’s something I’ve always authentically wanted to try, so I made this year the year to finally knock it off my bucket list 🪣 Also, I did it because I wanted to make more friends. I occasionally like doing things that make me feel alive, but some of my friends are a little bit repressed. They even think doing aqua aerobics is a little bit too sexy??? When learning how to ski, you tend to fall over a lot and get stuck. Lots of men will come to your rescue 😍. An innocent way to pick up arrows 💘

Wow the timing on this could not be better! I've been practicing the respecting the no... And it seems it backfired just yesterday. Me and my partner had a tiff because he felt I didn't really want to do something because I did not ask him repeatedly is what it all boiled down to. I explained I was trying to respect your wishes and not pester you since you had already said no you did not want to go, And he came back at me with well I didn't realize it was very important to you since you mentioned it the one time. I am very interested in advice here.

I suggest you respect his no, but not necessarily turn your back on what is important to you. You could ask differently, or express: This is significant to me, and I know you've said no yet, I'd like to discuss it for a few minutes. What do you think?
