you're thinking in the wrong direction with the mushroom here. i think it's more of a family issue in which his mushroom parents and siblings were misstreating it horribly and now after it learned magic it's killing them all. perhaps even the whole mushroom village was in on it, except that cute innocent mushroom girl that always felt bad about him being misstreated but never actually did anything to help him. he raises his mushroom arms glowing with purple death magic but then stops, showing her that letting bad things happen is almost as bad as doing them but he still spares her because she didn't think he was worth to be fought for and he shows her like that, that she isn't worth the mana for the spell.

I've seen a lot of comments pointing out the first missed defile but none so far that correct the second poor defile play. That last defile at 13:33 could have been done better. I understand he was under a lot of pressure and the turn timer was limiting, but I'm just saying that there was a better way to do it. Damaged Doomguard to Crypt lord (2 health Crypt, 5 health doomguard) Voidwalker to Crypt Lord (1 health Crypt, 2 health void) Defile (Kills all but the full health doomguard.) Smack face, play cube on doomguard. Sacrifice the cube and smack face twice more. (Enemy hero at 9 health)

9:20 Toast if ur reading this, I'm about to tell u what u should have done. 1. Hit Oakheart into the scarab on the far left. Oakheart is ur three health minion. 2. Hit that tiny kobold dude into the second scarab from the far left. Bringing down the scarab to 4 health 3. Hit two voidwalkers into that 4 health scarab. That scarab is now ur two health minion. The voidwalkers that u just used have become ur one health minions, compensating for the lost kobold. 4. Hit the tar lord and the remaining 3 health voidwalker into the scarab in the middle bringing down the scarab to 4 health, which will act as ur 4 health minion. If u have followed these instructions carefully, you should have ended up with a board that looks like this: (Only listed health) 5 1 2 4 6 6 3 3 1 1 1

In ref. to 9:10 Oakheart into a scarab nets you your 1hp and 3hp Librarian into a second scarab gets you your 4 hp Running the the tar creeper and three voids into a third scarab get you a 1hp and 2hp minion. The jade is your five and one of the last scarabs was the 6 . Doesnt matter bc toast still reeled in the win at the end :)

He could have used defile at 9:09. His 5/5 attacks a taunt giving you 5/3 and a 2/1 (taunt). All his taunts attack a different enemy taunt minion giving you 2/2 enemy taunt minion. His 2/1 attacks a different taunt minion giving you a 2/4 enemy taunt minion. That would clear the board.

9:30 literally the only way to get 4hp is to send 4 damage into a 2/6. Any way of doing it gives 1, 2 and 3. Then get a 4 by sending 2 into another 2/6. There's your 1 (all 3 voidwalkers) 2 (first 2/6) 3 (tar) 4 (2nd 2/6) 5 and 6 It's actually super easy since your options are limited. Your minions have odd health and the taunts all have even damage. You can't get 2 or 4 from your own minions, only the 2/6s can.

Ok, so the Defile... first kobold hit one of the scarab. Now two voidwalkers hit the same scarab. Finally, hit a different scarab with both creeper and last voidwalker. If I'm not mistaken, that would make defile kill all minion: 1º tick -> all three voidwalkers 2º tick -> the scarab hit by kobold and the two voidwalkers 3º tick -> creeper 4º tick -> the second scarab, hit by creeper and one voidwalker 5º tick -> jade and the legendary 6º tick -> the rest of the scarab I must say, this was a bit hard defile to figure... and this deck proved to need some thinking, damn.
