For those who are thinking about changing their ways and trying keto/carnivore DO IT! I’m 61 and I had abused my body and mind for a very long time. In January I gave up Beer( I loved Beer!) in February I jumped straight in with carnivore. 15 stones down to 11.8 All aches and pains gone Bp 160/90. Now 120/72 Blood glucose always between 4.9-5.9 mmol Aerobically fit again. Building muscle and no longer ashamed of my body. Mind is thinking clearer Dark pigment on my lower legs (hypertension stains) gone Small white skin tags on lower legs gone Testosterone up. Libido increased. Red inflamed face gone No more snoring Never tired Sleep like a log Off all bp medication No body odour Toilet only once a day. No getting up in the night for a pee. Give it a go you will feel great. Well done Neah.❤ Thank for sharing and helping.

I'm 20 months ketovore 95% critters, and here is what i have healed... Bleeding gums Painful Periods Flaky Skin Anxiety Episcleritis Arthritis General Inflammation Dandruff Anemia Excessive Bruising All that is after about 30 years paleo omad, I was never eating highly processed SAD food. The improvements are astounding as long as I stick to eating lots of fat and protein coming from animals. I look about 10 years younger than I am, even I am stunned. I can tolerate plants just fine but I don't want to waste stomach space on it so I treat them like condiments. Prioritizing fat and protein has been a total game changer.

@@L.OB-1 I see what you're saying. It could be that but for me it was more a situation of severely under eating. I eat a few plants now but not many. I was living living all those years on well under a thousand calories and now I've basically doubled my calories so I think it's more a situation where I'm actually getting fat and meat nourishment whereas before I wasn't. It's actually astounding when I started tracking my food how little food I was eating. Left to my own devices I would eat about 700 calories a day. It's ridiculous. But it's how I was raised and I had never really tracked. You can't fix what you don't track right?

I've been abusing my body for 50 years. I'm fully committed to however long it takes to correct as many things as possible. I'm one month in and I'm convinced this is the way to better health. My sleep got even worse at first (didn't know it was even possible) but just started to see slight (consistent) improvement. (I bought those blue blocking glasses cuz I'm on screens WAY too much) and upped my magnesium supplementation. Someone else mentioned that chicken flaired up their joint pain (something I never would have thought of) and I cut it out that day and halfway through the next day my pain was GONE! I get upset when I think about how long I've been eating things that hurt me but then I realize it wasn't my fault. We didn't know. 50 years! Most of my life. I'm 62. I can't wait to see the improvements my remaining years will bring now that I know more. And maybe those remaining years will be longer now. Thank you, Neah. Your videos and podcasts are SO important and needed (and well done)! ❤🙂🇨🇦

@@KetovoreAnita I don't take anything for anything lol! I'm not sure about hormone replacement. Has it helped you? Did your doctor explain why you need it? It's my understanding that carnivore lifestyle fixes hormones too! It seems to fix just about everything! I guess the question is how long does it take for improvements to show up and when can a person start to reduce and eventually eliminate whatever they might be taking. Periodic blood tests would help and listening to our bodies cuz we all know that everyone is different. (I hate that part!) I wish there was just one clear cut roadmap for us all! 🙂

First of all. Congratulations! I related to so much of what you said about coffee and alcohol. I used alcohol to cope, socialize, have sex, relax after a long day, to have fun, to be a better mom (so I thought). Last October I started to not feel well when drinking so just like you a CAN NOT put myself in a box. So I just stopped slowly. Before I knew it I was going out with my friends and only having club soda...but I genuinely did not need it! It feels so good to just be myself. My last thing is coffee with cream and a little honey. It is my ritual. I have tried so many times to stop. But same thing. I just need to not tell myself I can't have it and just slowly walk away from it or allow it when I want. The reason I do not want it in my life anymore is I think dairy effects my autoimmune. The coffee gives me anxiety and I notice I am very irritable with my children. It is this feeling of having the anxious jitters that I need to release through speed cleaning my house. And wit two toddlers that just isn't possible! So I get irritable with them for "slowing" me down. In my head, I want to be patient and express lots of love but due to coffee it comes out as impatient :/ So. Just for my children I want it out. You hav inspired me to take the next step. I have been doing carnivore off and on since October. Each time I get a little more dedicated to my health. But my most favorite has been not needing alcohol to function. Not having as much anxiety and that same stupid deal of thinking I am the center of the universe when really, no one cares if my dress has a stain on it😂 Great video and keep up the good work!

I can relate to this so much! I’ve had this feeling that I should quit coffee for a few months now. But it feels like my only “comfort” I have left. It’s something I look forward to in the morning and when we go to a coffee shop or restaurant it’s the only drink I can enjoy. Most other stuff contains sugar. I also drink way less alcohol as I realized how it’s affecting me. I do drink a little wine once in a while but I honestly think I don’t enjoy it as much anymore 😅

Thank you so much for this video!! I’m struggling with same things. I did one year of carnivore 8 years ago and since then I’ve been trying and not succeeding. This year I started again but I stopped for a whole month, in 2023 I started to drink, now I have a new addiction on the top of sugar. I feel so ashamed bc of the drinking. I also play a little bit of guitar and piano, I sing too, and music is the best way of distracting me from alcohol. I finished this video crying. I really hope that I can make this a new way of life for me. I have tons of inflammations to get rid of.

One idea is to replace the alcoholic drink with a different drink for a long time, like flavored sparkling water or an electrolyte drink, so that your brain is satisfied with the motion of lifting your glass to your mouth repeatedly. I know it's not nearly the same taste as alcohol but it's a way to still take part in the ritual of drinking something for a while until you can eventually cut down on that too. I used to drink a few sodas a day and I noticed it was much harder to just stop drinking soda and not replace it with something else. I drank anything in a can with zero calories and that helped a lot. I made a lemon and lime drink with a little salt and monk fruit sweetener. It's like a lateral shift into a healthier drink habit without dropping the drinking motions altogether. Keep trying different ideas if you find this one isn't your jam.

I wonder if you take up a craft that keeps your hands busy, would that help? Crochet and knitting are pretty easy, and they also travel well. Hand sewing (hand piecing a quilt) also travels well. You can do these while watching videos or listening to podcasts, or even while having conversations. And you'll have something to show for it eventually. There are lots of beautiful yarns out there, and scarves are a lovely fashion statement, and make great gifts.

My same thoughts about myself! I tell every now that I see and feel my true self after 70 years looking and feeling the wrong person! It’s not just about “the looks”. It is a whole journey of sensations and introspection: joint mobility, mental clarity, being able to do Yoga without moving my visceral and waist fat to the sides of doing a twist, being comfortable with clothes, staying away from all the junk food around the restaurants, supermarkets, coffee shops, ( which proudly makes me feel in control). Lots of nice stares when I am walking, on the tram. I am proud when people stare at me, looking my old hands and wondering if I am an old woman with a nice body or a young girl with old hands 😂. I am thankful for the Carnivore community , being relieved from many conditions that kept me sick for years! Thank you for your videos and your shares. I learned the Macros from you!🙏🏽

It’s been extremely hard getting past the nausea phase and then when I do, and start feeling better, I think I’m invincible when nothing happens after eating one cookie or something and then my idiot addict side convinces me that “just one cookie a day is fine, everyone does that, and they’re fine” and I end up right back at square one again. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing this! I started my carnivore journey back in may and did pretty well for about 3 weeks until I unexpectedly lost someone really close to me. After a month of grieving and returning to my prior eating ans drinking habits, I decided I needed to resume carnivore. Both times I started carnivore, the biggest thing I've struggled with has been giving up alcohol. I never considered myself to have a problem with alcohol, but I can definitely see now that it has been a huge crutch for me in the exact way and for thebsame reasons that you described. I really appreciate you being vulnerable and "real" in how you described your relationship with alcohol. I don't think I've ever heard someone verbalize that subject in such a truly realtable way - and to give hope that it IS possible to feel normal or ok in social situations without it is so encouraging! Congratulations on all your progress! Keep up the good work! We're rooting for you!!!💐💐💐

It is very encouraging to me as I also struggled with being consistently & persistently very very tired. I was diagnosed with adrenal fatigue and spent a year under a adrenal specialist. While I am better than I was, it still feels like I have so long to go. This is why I opted for a carnivore/lion diet. You gave me some hope for me because I am on day 20 of the lion diet, and I am still having to take either a prescribed pharmaceutical or Kratom to help my body make enough physical energy to get through each day (go to work). I am encouraged by what you did with coffee and will be praying to figure out a way to take the same path you did and still function at work. Thank you so much for sharing your story. Most people think I'm strange, and I don't get a lot of support from the family; even though I share a ton of carnivore videos with everybody. I keep hearing from everyone, "You're going to damage your health." Which is frusterating. I respond by saying, "Then why do I feel so good?" Im ready and prepared to try the Lion Diet Aug 1st. Goal is 10 days. And if it goes well, then continue to 30days. Then slowly add things back to see what's what. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing your journey Neah. The importance of rest is tremendous! I have found that planning for at least 8 hours by scheduling my bedtime accordingly and not the waking alarm, aligning with the sun going down in the evening and rising in the morning has been alot easier for me. If for some reason I deviate from that and fall short on rest, if I start to feel tired or anxious, I just stop and take a nap. My increased/renewed energy and focus has been well worth the time spent resting. Eating a proper human diet and resting has helped me become a better person. Have a Great Day!

I relate to this so much, I keep sabotaging myself, I get better and then start hurting my body again, and promise myself that I would never do it again, and I do it again a month later. I'm talking about sugar addiction, carnivore helped me a lot and it's been only 2 months since I started lion diet, but I made this rule that keeps me motivated, that I can have a sugar snack once a month on the 1st, the day comes and I end up having 4, 5 snacks and feeling sick again. I don't wanna do this anymore. My autoimmune condition affects my ability to talk and move, and it gets bad but my addiction to sugar is stronger than anything else. Once I start I cant stop . The thing is I don't get cravings but when the new month starts and I can finally have a snack (baked goods, always) It feels like oh this is an opportunity that I can't miss, even if I'm not craving anything.

Thank you for sharing your story, congratulations on the growth you have made and for taking care of yourself! There are a lot of things you said I can relate to. I have followed the Keto diet for a few years and it made me feel so good, no thoughts about food at all, lots of energy a clear mind and weight loss. But after some hard things happening at the same time I went back to a "normal" diet. Food used to be my comforter. I am now doing a carnivore diet because I don't want to be addicted to sugar anymore. I have started two weeks ago, the keto flu symptoms are there still but I feel liberated not to have to think about food so much anymore. My plan is to go carnivore for a month, but we will see what I do afterwards, maybe I continue or go for a keto diet.

Awesome presentation, your a really good speaker, very professional. My last bastion of herbivore life since becoming carnivore has been giving up expresso and heavy cream. I have one small spot of Eczema left on my right knuckles which will not go away. Like you, I guess it's time to say bye-bye to coffee and dairy. You got a new subscriber.

If there’s one thing this way of eating does , for myself…. It painfully made me face all my wacky addictions . Let’s be real here … meat & water is boring there’s no color , no variety, no sweets , so the brain gets a chance to totally calm down which frees up a ton of mental space . You’re not washing , chopping , shopping , eating , drinking , because you’re so full , so it’s like whoa .I looked around and was like ok now what . Sobering . No more caffeine for me and decaf once in awhile it’s a real treat for me .

Nice job. Are you a lefty or is it a camera/mirrored image situation? Happy for your healing. I'm a musician as well. I've eliminated about 80% of my previous arthritis. It's allowed me to stay in this vocation. Before this, I was planning on changing careers. I'm blessed to have found this way of eating.

Been on carnivore for 2 years. I was drinking a very large cup of coffee every day with some heavy whipping cream. I developed awful orthostatic hypotention but wasn't really sure why. I cut the coffee for other reasons than that not connecting them at all, and what do you know, it vanished in 2 days. Sleep improved and energy skyrocketed. Apparently, like most things, coffee is a bit of a scam, a crutch, and something we do much better without. Do i miss the taste? Sure. Does that mean more to me than my health? Heck naw. Bye bye coffee, never to return

What country are you from? What I’m curious about is was it an American SAD diet you had before?
@RV-there-Yet
@RV-there-Yet Ай бұрын
"SAD" is an acronym for "Standard American Diet"~ which is a combination of junk food, fast food, & the so-called healthy food pyramid or "my plate" as it's now called. Developed & pushed by the USDA( United States Department of Agriculture) in schools, advertising & the medical community as a visual representation of what a healthy diet should include. These charts show how many servings are suggested of grains/plants/protein/fats. Many have now discovered how very corrupt, agenda driven, profit fueled & just plain wrong those charts are. Same goes for the heavily advertised fast food & junk food industries, marketed toward all ages as being something "fun", "healthy", "energizing", & "All American way of life", etc & so forth~ which is complete hogwash. Problem is, they make a lot of money for a lot of people~ big business, big pharma, etc., so anytime people begin to figure out they are gaming us, do our own research, find our own studies & data, there is major pushback from these entities because they profit so grotesquely from people buying these products, becoming sick, needing medications, & so on. Ok, I should stop now~ since you really only asked one question, which I answered early on. =) Rant over. It's a rather important, interesting topic to research~ if you haven't already.

Have you been tested for H-Pylori? I've been in healthcare for a little over 3 decades and you have all the symptoms of having this nasty bacterial infection. Either way, leaky gut either caused by H Pylori or other reasons can cause havoc. When I heard you say you can't eat salt without it causing problems I knew right away. It's basically histamine that is causing all these issues caused by the leaky gut. If you do in fact have H Pylori I would suggest getting your ferritin levels checked just to make sure your levels are not less than 125ng/mL because H Pylori feeds off your iron, and even though you take in enough iron from meat, you may not be absorbing it properly due to the low stomach acid caused by the bacteria.

@@neahsway Not sure what state you live in but you can order this test yourself and save some money IF you don't have health insurance or if they won't cover it. Walkinlab is a good place to start as the test is $218 going to Quest Diagnostics and $198 going to LabCorp. Simply order the test and Walkinlab will send over the requisition form needed to do the breath test. I would definitely rule out an H Pylori infection to start. Also, if you have it, then chances are your daughter does as well. More than half the population has this bacteria and most people don't present with symptoms until they take an antibiotic for some reason as this allows the bacteria to basically take over. Also, you mentioned having exercise intolerance so I would definitely check ferritin levels. That test I believe is $28. BTW, I am trained in integrative functional medicine and hold a PhD in human physiology. Most conventional medicine physicians get a little lost when it comes to gut function and iron metabolism. Take care and feel free to reach out should you have any questions.
