Thanks for this. I am growing in Texas and I suddenly discovered this summer how hard it was to grow anything.. That said I have the most flushes of lions mane I have ever had coming on this week! Live and learn. I hope to be in business within a year or so, but then there is so much to learn and prep for..

You can do it! The heat is definitely an obstacle but with some ingenuity it can be no problem.

@@longbeachmushrooms Thanks for the encouragement. I am learning, though not as quickly as I want.. But I have some advantages such as there is literally NO competition where I live. The down side is that demand is less also. Right now I am using the need for AC to also cool my sleeping quarters. Some better filtration and other measures will improve the conditions. I am definitely stacking functions now to make it as efficient as I can. For instance all of the condensate from the AC goes into garden beds to keep them alive in the brutal Texas heat!! Again, thanks for your videos, your effort, and your knowledge. Keep on succeeding!

I've been watching your vids for a while and have learned a lot. Thank you for being awesome to the community. I am just a hobby grower that would like to scale up and was wondering where you got your soy hulls from? I'm in Socal as well and wanted to see where to pros get some raw materials?

@@sidk2313 I get all my soy hulls from mushroom media online. Seth is great but it’s only cost effective if ordered in large quantities. I pretty much get 5 tons every few months.

I'll be interested to see how you build your grow rooms, it's something we have to do here in the UK. Like always it's going to be on a budget....

Budgets are definitely important. We have 3 different phases of build out depending on how much financing we can secure!

@@longbeachmushrooms We funded our farm ourselves, we have been going probably 10 months longer than you, but clearly not quite at your sales or production level yet, just about getting by financially but loving every minute of it. I reckon by this time next year we will be on top, I really enjoy your videos, we have a lot in common.

id like to know how much you sell your mushrooms for to restaurants. and how much free time do you have now to spend with family?
@longbeachmushrooms3 ай бұрын
Our wholesale pricing depends on a few factors. But typically we're operating at about a 35% profit margin. And I work more than I ever have in my life and have less free time overall than ever but because I control my own schedule, I've had more time with my family than ever. We schedule family time on the calendar or else it won't happen.
