I started crying when you said the part about the journey and nothing worth having comes easy. Saying "I hope you don't give up, every step counts" really got me. I'm working on starting a small craft/art business and I get down sometimes comparing myself or getting discouraged. It's nice to hear this sometimes. This game looks amazing, and your journey towards your goals is inspiring. I can't wait to check this out and immerse myself in your world :)

yes!! and in any sort of project there is going to be time 'wasted' on a feature/concept or tangible thing that gets scrapped. but exploring that idea was necessary even if it didn't work out. it's really hard to remember that when you have hours or days towards something for nothing though, and most people don't post about those (understandably). every step counts, even the ones that don't go anywhere!

@@zeinasjourneys if you really want to dive into game dev, yes its recommended to learn it. Unity and Godot is the most popular engines right now, in Unity the language is C# and in Godot is GDScript, very similar to Python

This could be hard. It seems like she's drawing every asset for a certain angle and places them manually adjacent to a wall etc., so I don't think you will be able to, for example, rotate a table or a couch.

i am astronomically excited for this game, and wish you best of luck going forward in development!! my one criticism though is the lack of body types. i know very little about game development lol but i think adding just one larger body type option for character customization would do a world of difference, as well as having some plus-size or even just not quite as skinny NPCs as well. thanks!

I’m pretty sure I’ve been here since the first vlog, maybe the second at most. I have been excited since that first video. Every single time I see there is an update, I drop what I’m doing. You art and patience is so admirable. I am amazed at how you handled fall, waking up early to continue your passion project. I almost can’t contain my excitement, it just looks so gorgeous and I can’t wait to play one day! Can’t wait for the next update ❤ If it would help to have more financial support for the game, have you considered a little auction? I was just thinking about ways that viewers could contribute something with their money that would be completely non intrusive (nothing stifling your creative control). Maybe this would not work well for your plans and next steps, but I thought it would be cool if there was an auction to suggest a hairstyle or clothing item, or a name an item (like a plant or food item). I would put decent money into leaving a small mark on the game if that wasn’t outside of your comfort zone!

I love this! And thank you for the encouragement, it made me feel a little emotional. I spent a lot of time or rather wasted alot of time in life and always wanted to do game development. However I never felt like I was quite smart enough or even deserved to do anything that made me happy. This looks beautiful, but I would have a small suggestion regarding the characters' eyes, they look too dark (just black) on the in-game/movable characters, compared to how pretty they look in the drawn characters. That also makes them look more puppet-like than the "manga" drawn characters. I feel like making the eyes somewhat clearer would make the characters pop up even more.
