It is possible. In my batch the senior most classmate was ~40 and got a job that gave a similar hike. But there is no guarantee and in such cases, the student has to also leverage his/her network to get the right job salary mix

I'm really sorry but I really want to understand why it's a bad thing. Don't you have less compitition for those experienced roles during placements?
