my name is Alondra. I'm a skaterboarder from the Netherlands and I've been skating for around 1 year. NO, that is not correct because without all the proper building blocks to start with your progression and style both will suffer. People need to understand you can't build a house without building a proper foundation , FIRST!

My 8 month skate progression. I started in late July and I can Ollie at least a foot, shuvit, pop shuvit, drop in, 5050 and working on kickflips. I can rock-to-fakie, rock n roll, and tailstall too. I wasn't able to skate much in the winter so I would probably be farther if there was no winter. ○•u•○ Edit: I can front side 180 now.

Uhhhm hey so you’re a total badass. I skated for years before getting 360 flips under my feet. Backside board, super clean. Five stair, super clean. Those 5050 cleaned up really nicely. Don’t think I ever got my shoes on a double kick flip. Cant wait to see more videos from you.

If you are having trouble commiting to a kickflip when you get there, try a heelflip. They are easier to commite to in my opinion

U probably aren’t progressing because u are only practicing tricks u know and if ur not landing a trick ur trying watch tips and tricks videos and then go out and put in the work. Skating is really hard but if you skate hours a day then progression will come quicker 👍🏻
