Finally someone actually tells the truth about how much money it costs to run an exotic car. No $20,000 brake jobs? No $15,000 clutch changes? No $1000 oil changes! Thanks for this vid!

He said he changes the oil himself, so not sure what it would cost to have done at an actual shop. It MIGHT be $1,000 ?

hello peter, im 17 years old and i live in jamaica, yes i get that you might think wow i live in paradise or something like that because i get that all the time. but no where i live its not really anything close to being paradise and it sucks. my family isnt poor or anything but we still struggle with living costs and it really hit us hard over the summer because my parents are now retired and now im in college and without income its tougher. i was very inspired by your documented video when you purchased your lamborghini and it made me realize that all is not lost for me to pursue buying my dream car as well which is a Nissan GTR Nismo edition and black edition i know it sounds crazy that i want two but ever since i saw the gtr i knew that thats the car i want in my drive way. i just want to say thank you for helping me not give up on my dreams even though things are looking south at the moment. i apologize if my english language is slightly off here in jamaica our native language is broken african and english mashed together called patois lol thanks again

just remember not to be an employee. at all costs do not become an employee. Even if you make 100 grand a year as an employee you're still making your boss like 2 million dollars. Go to college learn how to create businesses, and create your own businesses after college. That is the only way you can own an expensive car and enjoy it.

I just bought my dream car the new CLS but of course the Lamborghini has been a dream since I was a kid and first saw the Countach... Now I have my life and business in Thailand and everything there is so fn expensive. the cheapest Galardo there that I could find was a 2009 for USD 300.000 . I know that seems insane but I just bought the CLS for 130 grand and I now know that I can fn do it. I loved this video thanx Chris

I 100% love your comments on haters! So very true. I believe haters aren't so much jealous (suggesting they want one too) as they are insecure, as you mentioned in your video. "Haters" have their own insecurities about others having one and thinking they are lesser than you because you have one (whether it's a super car, nice house, vacation). Even though, as you said, it has NOTHING to do with them, but just something you simply want to enjoy. Keep enjoying!!

+Peter Beattie's Garage, I've watched through your series of Lambo videos starting with your "Buying a Lamborghini Gallardo" documentary. Just that alone was really fascinating to me, but your other videos about how it's been to own a Lamborghini and how you came to buy it offered really cool insight too - not to mention how inspiring it was. I just wanted to say way to go. You pursued a dream and succeeded in realizing that dream - something not many people can claim! And you've got some great stories along the way; thanks for video taping them! I've become a huge fan of Lamborghini over the past years, it was a legendary car from childhood in the days when my step-brother and I were playing with hotwheels, and it's really cool to see someone who has brought the concept of owning a supercar like this down to earth. Thanks so much for these, and keep it going!

Because your profile pic is about Minecraft or something like that, I'll guess that you're about 11. The Gallardo is already 11 years old at least, and when you're old enough to afford one (earliest about 25 probably) it will be like 25 years old, and will be very outdated. At the moment of course it's a nice car and you can have it as your favourite car, but if you mean dream car as in buying it when you get older, I would start for example looking at the Huracan. Good luck.

Love your videos. I am inspired by how laid back and cool you are. One side note though, You don't have to be a "business owner" to be able to afford a car like this. I work for a large company as an Accountant and at 25 years old I have an M3, 5 series and I own a condo. By 30 I am confident that I will have a vehicle such as this one....Keep up the good work though my man.

excellent video. ive been doing quite alot of research and reviewing the 2006-2008 Aston Martin V8 Vantage. Im 24 years old, and I got a quote to insure a 2007 Vantage at 122 a month. I fully understand where youre coming from on the insurance. its not as atrocious as people think, nor is the maintenance or reliability. People really blow these cars out of proportion, when its unnecessary. Theyre very reliable, after all, they are a part of the Volkswagen Auto Group. i notice several things on your car that are the same in my Audi S4. Excellent video, very informative! Thank You!

Thanks Peter. Very nice vid. Very interesting to hear your thoughts and opinions on owning such a beast. I've always been a car person too. Reading every car&driver, road&track..etc I could get my hands on. My first sports car back in the day was a brand new L82 close ratio 4 speed. The Lambo might not be my first choice. I think I'm more of a z06, viper, in a pinch a gt3 guy. Would have to drive each to really find out whats what. But very cool stuff none the less. Continued good luck with the Lambo. Hope it serves you well. I'll be watching for more of your car vids. Thanks again.

Like enthusiasts in other realms I find most owners of exotic cars to be crazy enthusiastic about their cars. They're often quite excited and are more than happy to tell you about what ever it is they own. Especially at a car show or club activity where they have the time. I get a big kick out of it as they have a measure of happiness in owning their cars. Same for me, an Alfa GTV6 owner.

Thanks for this video. I've always loved the look of Gallardos. I actually sat in one a few weeks ago for the first time. It was a great interior. I noticed the comfortable arm rest in middle, which is something sorely lacking from most Ferraris. I also noticed seat being a lot firmer than my 911's. So I couldn't imagine anyone using it for long trips without feeling discomfort in the rear.

Peter, nice review. I can relate to the hater conversation that you talk about. I found out very quickly who my real friends were when I achieved success. Once you get out of the middle of the road lifestyle, things really open up for the better but, it comes with a social price. People will think you are rich every time owning a Lambo and hate for whatever reason. I love how you bought the car for yourself and don't give a rats ass what people think. That's exactly the way I feel also. The friends you lost were never your real friends to begin with. Good luck with the car and be safe driving it.

You seem like a pretty down to earth car guy which I like a lot :) Though on a little lower level, I experienced a lot of similar things after purchasing my first Porsche (987 Cayman S) 3 months ago. But I think it also depends on the area where you are living. In my home area lots of people are very envious and think it's daddy's car or something but in Bavaria they seem to be less degrudging. I earned every cent by myself and made my dream come true and it seems that so did you. I wish you the best for the future! Maybe some day I'll join the Lamborghini owners :)

Hell yes I agree! If I hadn't found his documentary video last winter when I was borderline broke (terrible winter for my snow plowing business here in the Midwest) which led me to his other ones about business, and the video that showed the books that helped him (The Millionaire Fastlane by MJ DeMarco & Ca$hvertising also), I likely wouldn't have started my internet company, I'd still be working way too hard (& not smart enough) in my lawn/landscape/snow business and wouldn't have led me to learn the insane amount of things I've learned in the past 7-8 months. I haven't even seen any "hater" or "critic" comments but who gives a fuck what they think! They likely waste their days away making ridiculous comments on KZbin videos, they should pick up a copy of TMF by MJ & their outlook on business & even life in general will be much better. Thanks Peter for all the inspiration!

Thanks for posting this! I'm on the verge of buying a pre-owned Gallardo myself, your videos are extremely helpful. Got a couple of questions for you though - when you bought your Gallardo from Dallas, did you go down there to take a test drive in it first, or did you just have a pre-purchase inspection and hope for the best when the car arrived? Also, was the dealership able to offer an extended warranty when you bought it? Thx much

Great video and info. One question... You mentioned that you got the Gallardo before you become a grey haired person riding by yourself... What is wrong with being just that as long as you can still enjoy the car? Does that mean that when you eventually become grey haired, you will sell the car, you will no longer find pleasure driving it? It's a gorgeous vehicle.

Hi Peter, how is the wear on suspension components? Have you had to change any bushes, ball joints, etc on it?

Dude what you said at 27:10 about people being ghetto cause you got something nice is true, I got tonnes of family and former friends (who weren't really my friends to begin with) like that, struggle to buy a nice place, nice car, nice clothes and people got to hate cause that is how they are wired

Glad to see you actually enjoy the car....it's nice to know there are guys like yourself that work hard for what you want. There's always gonna be haters that will talk shit just because you own something nicer than they do or because you actually went after your dream to be an exotic car owner and they didn't. I was just in Maine for the 1st time this past summer at a longtime friends parents place, Inn at Pinnacle mountain....I can definitely see how you owning a Lamborghini living in Maine makes you stand out because there don't seem to be too many exotics around, if at all. But with the positive attitude you have about owning one, I'm sure you get more positive feedback than negative. See where I live, Bucks County Pa....Exotics are a dime a dozen. You name it and I've seen a few on the road. Some owners will talk to you about them, some will walk away and say fuck off. But that's how you can tell who is truly a car guy and who just bought a 1/2 million dollar car to have a bigger

Dick....Any way you look at it, you need to just always enjoy the car. Forget everyone else's petty hatred....And keep the mindset you have now knowing that you'll always have people approach you about it so just make the best of the situation as long as they respect the fact that it is an exotic car....lol. Thing is super clean though! Good buy.

+Peter Beattie's Garage That is a good car, also you can go for a limited edition lambo in future, like bicolore edition.I think limited edition lambos hold value better.Good luck for your next dream car.

+Peter Beattie's Garage Can you make a video talking about this? I'd really like to know the price differences between these cars and about the different specs. Thanks!

Hey Peter, what was your path after college? If you did attend it. I'm in college and would like to be a business owner myself. What helped you establish your own business to then buy your dream car? (Maybe answer this in a future video?)

You may have already answered but did you do the PPI or inspect after delivery from Lamborghini Dallas? Thanks.

Sorry if you get these questions a lot and I am aware that I can google this but I wanted to ask you. Do you have an opinion on the 6 speed manual stick? Like, does it wear out faster than the e-gear system... etc? Edit: I'm 18 now and I do plan on getting one. Sure I'm only 3.5% there in terms of money, but if I got this much, nothing will stop me from getting more. Great video!
