That curtain on the Delta 767-300, in the seat behind you, is actually for second pilots that are flying on long haul flights, and will use that seat for sleep/rest until its their time to be in the cockpit, to give the 1st crew a rest break as well. Great video by the way.

Virgin comparison? We didn’t go on virgin first/business class, but we did fly on Virgin Australia domestic in the Tasmania ep8 content. We flew on Qantas going from New Zealand to Brisbane but that content isn’t out yet. The delta one return flight video will be a good one as I’ll give my honest review

@@MapleSeoul Thank you. Delta One is a “substandard” product. Not even a mattress pad for the lie flats. I just can’t believe that they actually get their price point(>$10k). Surprised to hear that Delta’s D1 occupancy has more “Non Revenue” occupants than paying customers. Not to mention, their International service by the flight attendants is as bad as domestic service. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I only fly Singapore and EVA for trans pacific travels.

Great flight report and love the pov concept. I personally, I wouldn’t pay 10k for those seats. I think that emirates or Singapore airlines is more worthy of that 10k than delta. Delta looks 5k at best 😂 I’m going to try the new suits soon in the A330 neo so I can’t wait.
@MapleSeoul3 ай бұрын
Great! I’m glad you liked it. Quite a few people complained about the video but oh well. The pov was used so that the viewer can feel like they’re there. It’s really why the video is long and so that people who can’t afford it experience it themselves. I’ve seen 100,000+ views on videos about nothing so there’s that. It’s crazy because I’ve seen delta charge $13k for this flight! Honestly, I don’t recommend delta unless it’s domestic. It’s the only option domestic, but for international it’s way subpar to competitors. I’ll explain why delta one is not worth it in my next video on delta. Hopefully when you fly d1 they have their d1 lounge!

@@MapleSeoul I think it’s very generous of you to use your time to record this long video so others can feel like they’re there experiencing this. It’s video like this that helped me be able to manifest being able to fly business class (I know it’s so new age). It helps you feel and visualize that you’re there and then boom. The more details you’re able to visualize the better which your video helps allot with. 13k is crazy 😂😂 I’m flying from Amsterdam to Punta Cana with a long layover in NYC. Weirdly didn’t had allot of options to choose from. There was a cheaper business class fare with Air Europa (1.9k Euros) but I didn’t choose it because I kinda got hooked on the new delta suite 😅 and the fact that I preferred to have a 18 hour layover in NYC than in Frankfurt. I got mine for 2.3k which isn’t too bad. After I booked it the price jumped to around 4k. I’ve subscribed and can’t wait for the delta video. I have never flown with delta before but the one thing that I can say about delta is that it’s the first time that I’ve had my flight time change. So far they changed it 3 times and it’s not even been a month since I booked the flight. And yes I can’t wait to get to hear more details about the new delta one lounge at JFK. Thankfully it will be open when it’s time for my trip. Hopefully you’ll be able to experience it and also make video 😁
@MapleSeoul3 ай бұрын
Thanks for subscribing! I appreciate you appreciation for the video When are you going to Punta? I’m also going in October. I will be filming that experience. I’ve heard good and bad things about Punta so we’ll see how that goes. I think we will be flying on the same aircraft. Are you flying to Punta from jfk? 19 hour layover?! Geez that’s long enough for a hotel and also not worth getting a one. If you’re not getting a hotel, the showers at the lounge help. I used it in lax during our layover. Another comment shared the same sentiment, but a lot of the D1 fliers are probably upgrades. For people like us that are paying for D1, not getting what we expect out of it is upsetting. Hopefully your aircraft from Amsterdam to NYC is the nice one. Not all their aircrafts are the same. If you’re flying on the same aircraft as mine from lax to syd, I specifically chose an odd number seat. FYI This is because the odd number is closest to the window. There’s more room between you and the aisle. My flight from jfk to lax, delta gave away my seat to someone else the day before which was upsetting because I paid for that seat. I told them I want my seat back and they said they can’t lmao
@danielx69604 ай бұрын
The D1 suites on the A350 seem okay at best while the 767 seats are kinda sad lol. And Delta still has even worse seats on their old A330s. I guess it was extra expensive because you're going all the way to SYD but $10k is rather painful for what you get on board DL.
@MapleSeoul4 ай бұрын
💯 I would not fly D1 again, but I’ll leave all my opinions for the flight back content. The flight back sealed the deal for me where I felt that I’m not getting my money’s worth and other airlines are clearly the better choice

Do you hold the camera at chest or eye level as you walk around and interact with customer service and lounge/flight attendants, or do bloggers like you have some sort of lanyard you use to hang the camera from your neck like a body cam? Silly but serious question... 😁

@MapleSeoul4 ай бұрын
I can’t imagine what economy must feel like on this long trip but I think the purpose of the zig zag on d1 is so that they can create the lay flat bed without using more sq footage. I didn’t like d1 and I’m saving my opinions for the return flight video, but if you fly on the same aircraft configuration as the one I flew, be sure to pick the odd number. It sits inside rather than aisle. If you don’t know what I mean, the video shows you what I mean. Also, I did choose odd seats but delta switched my jfk to lax seat at the last minute and gave my seat to someone else…which is one of things I disliked about my experience
