I was about 12 yrs old when I first saw these amazing machines. (Early 90's baby.) There was a stall at the local flea market that had a few for show peices. I've always wanted one. I've had the average pocket bike. My buddy sold me 2 beat up bikes, and I made one rideable. It had 2 gears I think. Anyway. It's been a dream to own a pocket rocket, like this. Since OHVALE is an italian manufacturer, I guess that probably there's no reason for that. European rules about pollution are quite strict, almost nobody is making 2 stroke engines anymore. For the same reason, you almost can't use an old 4 stroke carburetor bike anymore ('80s, '90s, begin 2yk...): you're not allowed to enter in most cities, and when the pollution level are high you can't simply drive it. And I'm talking about 4 stroke... today 2 stroke are considered the villain. Sad, but true. Luckily nowadays I live in Brazil, and here you can still do almost anything you want LOL

The power to weight ratio is even worse than you calculated. You really need to add the average weight of a Rider on to both bikes. The reason for this is the rider basically doubles the weight of the small bike which makes a huge difference in power to weight ratio. It only adds 25% or so to the weight of a normal size bike.
@16driver163 жыл бұрын
No.... you can't do that... thats YOUR weight to power ratio on the bike not the bikes... you need to know the bikes because everyone weighs a different amount! We're talking lunch could be the difference between winning and not.
@DoRC3 жыл бұрын
@@16driver16 okay so the thing is that there's always going to be some additional weight because of the rider. Due to how little the pocket bike weighs and how little power it has that additional weight makes a big difference in the power to weight ratio. I understand that the riders weight will be variable but because there will always be a rider on there when it's actually being used it makes sense to add some weight. I think a hundred pounds is a good Fair minimum amount of weight to add to both bikes. It's highly unlikely that a rider will be on either one that weighs less than that.
@16driver163 жыл бұрын
@@DoRC that number is useless you need to be able to add your weight to it! It's one part of a math problem if you mess with one number you won't be able to do the math properly! It's proper because if a 90lb kid gets on it you have to do the math and if a 210lb man does you have to do the math! These numbers aren't supposed to be used to figure out how fast the bike is but how fast you on the bike would be
@DoRC3 жыл бұрын
@@16driver16 I'm not saying it will give you an exact number. What making good low estimate for Rider weight will do is I'll give you a much better idea of the power to weight ratio difference. For instance I could put a one horsepower engine on a 1 lb vehicle and it would have an incredible power to weight ratio. But if you put a rider on it it would be garbage. The heavier the vehicle is the less this matters. In the examples given in the video putting an average weight Rider on the smaller bike would basically cut its power to weight ratio in half. On a normal size bike putting average Rider on it would be less than a quarter. Like I said I'm not saying you'll get an exact number but it gives you a much better idea of reality.

I wish you would test the bikes you sell this good. Your mechanic would have caught the completely rusted out gas tank and two injectors that were stopped up. He just left out a bunch of bolts under the tank. Wish I could say keep up the good work.

Yo! I love these Ohvales! I have rented a few of them at a mini track we have in my home town in California. I have a video racing one against a few others. It was really cool to get competitive on these little bikes.

Yup it the motor everyone puts in a Grom or anything with a Honda engine. The bike it self is different but the engine is a pit bike engine that made in Japan 190cc Daytona 4v and you can buy a bbk 212 on eBay. I don't think that year a 5 speed like the new one is. you don't want to kick start it wrong you will snap the input shaft it would be best to convert it to a electric start you could also make it fuel injection with Grom part and a kit for the 190cc it also has a slipper clutch if you get a Aracer ECU you can build your own tunes for it as well. might as well make it a real little beast should keep be able to keep up with a 300 if you build it right should make almost 30hp👍✌️👌💯🥂🏍️
