I love that Baptists are keeping this tradition alive. How many people have learned to read music by singing a cappella.

This is beautiful singing. We Eastern Orthodox Christians also sing voice only--A Capella singing accompanies the 17 century-old Liturgical service (in fact about half of is sung).

Hi good morning! Just so you know, I am a Pentecostal, but I would rather church worship be this than crazy modern music. Keep it up you saints of God.

Beautiful. I love this song. I could sing it forever with or without music to go along with it. Played this for several years for my church band. Nothing beats singing songs like this with others who love the lord.

Chorus Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, worship His holy Name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I’ll worship Your holy Name. Verse 1 The sun comes up, it’s a new day dawning; It’s time to sing Your song again. Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, Let me be singing when the evening comes. Chorus Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, worship His holy Name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I’ll worship Your holy Name. Verse 2 You’re rich in love and You’re slow to anger, Your Name is great and Your heart is kind; For all Your goodness I will keep on singing, Ten thousand reasons for my heart to find. Chorus Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, worship His holy Name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I’ll worship Your holy Name. Verse 3 And on that day when my strength is failing, The end draws near and my time has come; Still my soul sings Your praise unending, Ten thousand years and then forevermore. Chorus Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, worship His holy Name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I’ll worship Your holy Name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul, worship His holy Name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I’ll worship Your holy Name.

I love this kind of singing. I belong to an association of primitive baptists located in southwest Virginia. Some of our churches sing with music and some don't have music. I love the singing in the church without the music. A lot of videos from our association are on my youtube channel if anyone is interested in listening.

The church I belong to is Rollers Chapel Primitive Baptist and it is located a few miles from Duffield, Va. There are a little over 30 churches in our association and they are located in Ohio, Virginia, Tennessee and Kentucky. The biggest part of my youtube videos are filmed in these churches that make up our association.

this church is the hardshell type, super predestinarian, nothing like the Eastern District Association of Primitive Baptists to which you belong. This church believesyou dont have to believe in Jesus to be saved and most will never believe the gospel, yet they will be saved. They dont believe in preaching to "dead sinners". Youl never hear this church shout and jump for joy like your association. They think sunday school is a sin as well, unlike yours. They would never have fellowship with your association, nor would yours have fellowship with them. I love the Eastern singing as well, esp the video "He'll Hold My Hand"

I love this rendition of this song, but I'm surprised that they're singing such a relatively modern song, even if it's in a very traditional style. Maybe that teaches me not to judge by appearances
