People are wondering the price of this house, and I'm going to tell you with much certainty this was over $1,000,000. If it were only $100/sq ft to build, it would be $1 million. But the furnishings and unique structure and design put it well over that price point.

The old school barndominium is now known as a shouse. That is what I am building now and it costs less than a traditional home and less than a barndominium with all the bells and whistles. Just a 40x60 steel building, 30x35 living area in a corner shaped like a rectangular prism. Interior 2x4 framing with 10ft ceilings will be framed into 2 of the walls of the building.

I was born in Texas and lived here my whole life! This is the best example of creativity that can only be found in Texas! It would just take $4,500,000 or so to build a barn palace with such amenities in addition to the actual living spaces. If I had that kind of money and was looking for a home in Texas, a " barndominium " with those amenities is what I'd go for.

It's a beautiful build. The interior is a bit on the dark side, I think a lighter paint/color might serve better, letter more lights in, such as some skylights? Also, just curious, on a big property like this, a septic system is probably the case. Is that correct? Would a public sewer system be possible? Thanks for sharing the video.

The house is designed to have those separate units so it is efficient. It is zoned so all the units don’t have to be used in the house at all times. Believe it or not it better than imagined. I don’t know those stats because it’s not my house nor my payments but all of those units don’t run at one time.

Sherry King This metal framed build is very beautiful. It costs more to build, is not faster to build; nor, as strong as a high quality built custom home of traditional lumber framed builds. I know I’m a contractor and have done both.

Yes we do turn key projects. This build is a fortress. Actually structural metal studs on exterior and interior is lined in many places with brick. Very wind tolerant and built to last. This build is actually 15 years old... ahead of its time! Maybe the first “real” Texas Barndominium... thanks for watching. I wish we had more footage of this one.

Very nice, but I don’t like the spiral staircase right when you walk in the door. Looks out of place. Also, the kitchen was a disappointment and not up to the standards of the rest of the house. Last of the the vanities in the master bath were way to small.
