Nice video winni! Good explanations. I’ve never had too much luck with those trolley saws. I’ve had Imer and Raimondi, they both had minor vibrations with motors and never got great cuts. Especially with a high gloss porcelain like that. 👍

Just curious.... Seems you have a partial tile on the top row... wouldn't it be more aesthetic to have the PARTIAL TILE on the bottom? You measure from the top the proper distance for the whole tiles, and START FROM THE BOTTOM with the partial tile, where the CUT EDGE is on the very bottom...

Hey. We have installed a bunch of these and people have not said anything about that. The key is to install honed tile. Never polished on the floor. Go board is great. We usually use KBRS boards now but i wanted to get rid of these first

@@WINNI.Designs i was wondering about the slip coefficient rating of that tile on the pan brah brah, think TCNA wants rating of 2 or higher??? just asterisk the invoice for artistic design exceeding mechanical limitations of materials and bill them for art over function at that point so no-one points finger crying to the law. i use the same corner shelves as much as i can, they match everything!

I was about to ask about not having tile drop on your head. I see what you did there. Others say, you need this xyz thinset. Thanks for sharing the practicality. I'm about to start on my walls, got my floor in. Linear drain is easier to tile around, less slope fudging. I'm so on the fence on the large tiles. As a diy and like small and manageable. or maybe go rent that beast. My cheap tip of the day, mix your thinset a touch thick. The cheap stuff that i'm using slackens and slides away, super gummy. When it's built up to fix an un-even floor, just 1/8 extra or so. I later go back to see if anything moved. I'm curious about the no grout trend, it has to work for in concept and never have to clean it ;)

When you finish patting yourself in the back, 1st rule of installing tiles on a shower, you need to waterproof the entire area either with RedGuard or something similar, also as a rule of thumb, i would of Install the floor 1st then the walls, and yes ive been installing tiles for the last 20 yrs, and no, i dont go around Bragging about how much am taking the customer for or Bragg about how nice is going to come out. Always let your work do the talking. Learn how to be HUMBLE man.

Look I'm all in on waterproofing, but these topical waterproof products have only gotten popular in the last 10 to 12 years . I've been at it for almost 26 years and never had a leak from not waterproof ing over cement board, before it really got popular and my father and grandfather before me with mud walls . know your products and tile history .
