This is the absolute _best_ tiling video I've seen, and I've watched dozens. I want to miter the tile in my shower niche instead of using that metal trim that's so popular, and wasn't sure how to best go about it. Thank you so much for this professional, to-the-point tutorial. I wish they were all so well done.

Great instructional, I did my first tenax epoxy on a miter ledge today at work. I followed the video the whole way and was very happy with the results. Most useful information I found was the waiting times before pulling the tape and cutting back the epoxy!!

People don't want to pay more than pennies for tile work these days, stick with plumbing. Trust me. Switch careers now and you'll be eating out of dumpsters. It's insulting the prices that people expect to pay for good work

I'm a plumber of 11 years and got into tiling by doing bathroom jobs. Now I still do both but hate plumbing jobs and love the tiling. Trust me just do it you will be happier. And you can charge a good price once you have a portfolio of your jobs people can see. I charge £250 day rate and I'm getting at least 80% conversion after quoting. Where are you based?

Im so glad you did a separate video on this topic. Even though you're pretty new at this, everything turned out perfect here and thats what ultimately matters. I'm nowhere near as knowledgable as you are but one thing I just wanted to mention was a product called Tenax epoxy. I don't know too much about this product so PLEASE look deeper into it if you are planning on trying it out maybe. The reason why I mention this product is because I saw someone build a custom fabricated tile sink and use this for all of his mitre joints. After the Tenax epoxy is applied, there is only a waiting time of 15 minutes before taking a sharp blade and cleaning the edges and it looks like it comes off very easily. I thought this might help you save some time or help you in any kind of way. Keep up the amazing work and another great content!!! Cheers!! :) Here's the link if you want to check it out: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z6vchX-Diat0eMk

Very Nice !!! thank You for sharing !! I'm at the same point in my tile wall journey.. What an intense project as a homeowner to do 32" x 32" tiled all 4 walls in my master bathroom.. WoW.. one of the hardest projects That I've ever taken on.. Completed gutted the 12'x12' bathroom and installed a Schluter shower.. Now I'm tiling all the walls from floor to ceiling.. Also have a niche.. I'm 58 years old and its wearing me out..

U can wait for epoxy to harden and than use small heater and move along with the blade..that's how we do it in our company and results are perfect... Also to get round shape use sanding paper for ceramics (similar as u used for edges) on your grinder and slowly shape....

Before Epoxy was used in this fashion, were these types of joints done with pure grout or silicone sealant? I can imagine laying one edge down, squirting silicone and pressing down the other edge until it squirts out.

Grout will fall out over time as the house expands and contracts The epoxy looks better as you can “round” the edges Epoxy adds additional strength
