My seventh grade civics teacher (who sponsored the jam club and loved music) showed me this song over 5 years ago and I learned to play it on the baritone ukulele. Last night he passed away from a heart attack without having gotten to retire and leaving and wife and 16 year old son. This was the first song I heard by the Avett Brothers and they have since become my favorite band. I went to their concert last summer and I didn’t know it at the time, but my teacher was there too with his son. I just wanted to share his favorite quote with you, “live as if you are going to die tomorrow, learn as if you are going to live forever.” Mr P, you didn’t get to live forever on earth but you have changed the lives of so many young people. I am forever grateful for your impact on my life and I’m praying for your family. Love, Lily

10,000 words or 10 million will never be enough to say how much I love these boys. They are so talented, so down to earth, so in tune with how to make music anybody can appreciate & relate to. I've been blessed to see them live twice, & if I could I would just drop everything & follow them around so I could see them live every time they played.

I nearly lost two of my fingertips nearly a year ago. This is a song I used to cover, and I happened to hear it a few days ago. I stopped playing guitar after my accident due to some nerve damage that made the pain unbearable to pinch the strings. The inspiration I get from these guys is so pressing that I went against myself and picked the guitar again. I had no problem picking the strings again. These guys keep me in check in my times of need. What a rarity they are. Thank God that I get to share time with them while I'm on this planet.

Ya -- bad choice of products to give free advertising to. Glyphosate kills butterflies and pretty much everything else. It's illegal in more than 20 countries. Should be illegal here too. From this source: www.baumhedlundlaw.com/toxic-tort-law/monsanto-roundup-lawsuit/where-is-glyphosate-banned/ Most of the glyphosate restrictions or bans throughout the world were introduced following the 2015 IARC report on glyphosate. The IARC report concluded that glyphosate is a “probable human carcinogen.” According to the report, the cancers most associated with glyphosate exposure were found to be non-Hodgkin lymphoma and other hematopoietic cancers. The report further concluded that glyphosate exposure caused DNA and chromosomal damage in human cells, as well as genotoxic, hormonal and enzymatic effects in mammals. Other glyphosate studies have linked the chemical to a number of health issues, including, but not limited to ADHD, Alzheimer’s Disease, Autism, Birth Defects, various forms of cancer, Celiac Disease, Colitis, Heart Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome, Kidney Disease, Liver Disease, and Parkinson’s Disease.

Ten thousand words swarm around my head Ten million more in books written beneath my bed I wrote or read them all when searchin' in the swarms Still can't find out how to hold my hands And I know you need me in the next room over But I am stuck in here all paralyzed For months I got myself in ruts Too much time spent in mirrors framed in yellow walls Ain't it like most people? I'm no different We love to talk on things we don't know about Ain't it like most people? I'm no different We love to talk on things we don't know about And everyone around me shakes their head in disbelief And says I'm too caught up They say young is good and old is fine And truth is cool but all that matters Is that you have your good times But their good times come with prices And I can't believe it when I hear the jokes they make At anyone's expense except their own Would they laugh if they knew who paid? Ain't it like most people? I'm no different We love to talk on things we don't know about Ain't it like most people? I'm no different We love to talk on things we don't know about And after we are through ten years Of making it to be the most of glorious debuts I'll come back home without my things 'Cause the clothes I wore out there I will not wear 'round you And they'll be quick to point out our shortcomings And how the experts all have had their doubts Ain't it like most people? I'm no different We love to talk on things we don't know about Ain't it like most people? I'm no different We love to talk on things we don't know about Ain't it like most people? I was a groundsworker/landscaper for 10 years at several different college campuses in Southern California. So, naturally. My eyes were drawn to all that Roundup . I sprayed a shit ton of that stuff over the course of 10 years. Towards the end. I was practically drinking it cuz of the wind blowing when Id spray. Someone over there is a gardener. Cuz that stuff gets rid of weeds better than anything. Its incredible stuff. I mean, trust me. We tried hand pulling weeds for a long time. Unless you pull the taproot, Its growing back. Roundup dude. Spray and done with it. Come back later and apply 3 inches minimum of mulch. No weeds for at least a few months. I dont work for Roundup I just used it a lot and it works like magic. Not on nutsedge " nutgrass" but all broadleaf weeds are toast. Good song btw. It was terrific. I saw the guy on the left play guitar with a girl on a radio show in Seattle ( YT) video. Of Elliot Smith Between the Bars. One of my fav covers of all time. It was amazing. God Bless.❤

😂 Ditto except my 10 was down Louisiana in New Orleans and across from lake Pontchartrain directly from the shop was a favorite customer of mine called Gate mouth Brown an old blues guitar singer who make me sit on his front door steps and dig out of a garbage bag of half apple cigar tobacco and half weed 😂and we'd smoke before I started cutting his yard. But I've worked several places and several irrigation companies that adds 5 more and I don't like chemicals if you're a landscape artist there's 100 ways to avoid useing it you just need to be thrifty up front to save bookoos in the end! I hate cutting grass it sux 😂 So to get where I want without hassles I take the dropped sticks and branches and set piles up as screens about 4 feet to let trees and shrubs take it over 😂 witch makes eventually more dropped sticks branches leaves That chemical runs off into bodies of waters harmfully ❤
