My dad was a truck driver and would be gone for a week to ten days at a time. Before he would go, he would hide pennies around the house for us kids to find. We would compete against each other to see who could find the most. When he got home, we would pull out the pennies and he would count them out and declare a winner. When he passed away, I was leaving the hospital and there was a penny on the ground right next to my car. It gave me a big smile on a very tough day. Now, I never ignore any pennies I see on the ground. I always pick them up. I know my dad’s keeping score.

JJ is a tight fold vs that player type. I'd pay it off there since 88, 99, TT and all of the big Ace combos missed the board. 77 is slight possibly but QQ+ are unlikely.

I probably pay it off too for the same reason and also A7 suited is a possibility. But i dont think the fold is bad either. Its early enough and you start with enough chips that in this situation i think either play is fine because its so close for hands you can beat and hands that beat you

I mean this is easy call he can bet worse for value. Very bad fold. Against player type I would four-bet JJ at first place and you got best flop for your hand.

QQ+ are way more likely than 88-1010 type holdings. Nobody takes Villain's line as a bluff, it's such a good board to C-bet with 3-bet bluffs. His hand is strongly weighted towards AA exactly.

​@@SirChadwick84 why would he not tripple barrell with AA, KK, QQ? Its such an easy board to get value from JJ TT 99 or even AK AQ. You really have to resort to your fundamentals here. She is at the very top of her range. Perhaps AK may be a better call than JJ but she is still at the top of the range. I would fold something like 88,99,TT here but JJ is too high up in my range to consider folding. I also would have 4 bet JJ pre.

Happy you two played day one A instead of waiting until Day 2. You would be behind so many others who built up stacks on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. 2 years ago in main event I got aces 6 times on day 1 and didn’t get paid once and only had 105,000 at start at day 3 and ended making it to day 6 and finished 99th. This could be a good sign for you bob.

Bobby, I can relate. I lost with AA vs AK the first hand of the main last year. I am lucky that AK just smooth called my preflop raise. Flop came K-K-x... checks and i check behind i call turn and river small bets. Lose 2700 total first hand. In my mind it was a win compared to what could have happened
