The Goodwood track is wonderful. No walls or guardrails to block the view on most of it, and long sweeping curves in which we get to see racing cars of all types drift at speed negotiating them. The different classes of cars are also really fun - I've really learned a lot about historical racing classes from watching all the different vids Goodwood posts. Some day I plan to go there for a race weekend or the FOS. There's no racing venue like Goodwood!
@Indicant Жыл бұрын
Race weekends don't really exist at Goodwood, once a year you can race the track and that's the FoS, the rest of the year you're limited to sprint events.

Goodwood is the best show on earth. If you love racing. This is the place to be, when drivers actually drove cars to their limit. This is what racing was always meant to be. Modern racing has allowed technology and money to rule and the team with the most money wins. Goodwood provides an opportunity for fans to see all these legendary cars in all their glory.

If commentators can't get their facts right, perhaps they should sit quietly. The small aero on these cars is a "spoiler" not a "Gurney" which was invented years later. The Lotus "Queer-box" would never have been fitted to something with as much torque as a Type 30. The 289 was connected to a ZF transaxle.

Brilliant racing as always.... BUT...... most of us have no idea who the drivers are and don't care. Could you PLEASE give us the names of the cars. ie Lotus 16 number 24, or Cooper Climax number 63 or whatever. It is often hard to recognise the types of cars especially the older ones. We follow the cars, not the drivers!!.

Why don't you just do a little research on what the cars are and appreciate the drivers for what they're doing? Alot of these guys are famous pros who people in the racing world look up to

Keeping the cameras zoomed out more would give us a better perspective on what is going on. The camera operators seem to think that we want to see the cars in isolation when seeing them in relation to what is going on around them would be more informative.

@jcgabriel15695 ай бұрын
That's how they cars were named. Normally first name indicates the builder of the car, second name is the brand of engine used... That means McLaren-Chevrolet is a McLaren with a Chevrolet engine, and so on...
