Nice reds! How do you like the Compass compared to the PA?

Thankyou! They both have there up sides and down sides. PA has plenty of storage, super stable but heavy! The Compass is really lightweight so I toss it on the roof of my SUV. It has less storage which means I minimize what I take and it cuts through chop really nice. I can cruise around faster than the PA especially on a windy day. I can paddle it without the rudder deployed which the PA had to have the rudder deployed and its so wide and tall, it was hard to even paddle. The compass isnt as stable when standing but its stable enough to fish and set hooks.

@@FishingWithHoang thanks for the info. I have a PA so I know what your saying about paddling it. How do you like the Compass seat?

@@jerry-381 I had my 2015 PA12 for 4 years. Finally gave up on hauling it around on a trailer. The seat on the Compass is nothing close to the PA seat. It is plastic but is doable. I havent had a problem with it so far. The Lumbar support could be better.

@@FishingWithHoang we have 2 kayaks so for me a trailer is the best option. I'm looking to replace one of our kayaks. Looking at either the Compass or nee Outback. Thanks again.

@@jerry-381 when I had both yaks, the trailer was great. Also used the trailer to car pool with a buddy when we hit the coast. Im trying to get myself a shallow water skiff around 16 foot length, so I went ahead and downsized my kayak gear. I sure do miss having the trailer though!

The storm you see in the background was a tiny one. On the far right out of the camera view is a very large storm that was working its way in.

Where do you shop good used Kayaks? Lake Pflu might be fun and I know there are big bass in there. Also no motorized boats are allowed so it is safe.

I have 5 of those coastals and 1 zillion high speed reel. Mostly for bass fishing. Saltwater fishing I only take 3 - 4 reels. They are great reels and cast effortlessly.
