Hello Riley, Elena, and kids. My name is Beau and I’d like to thank you. Years ago I watched an episode of SLV where you sailed through Solway passage in the Whitsundays. At that point, I had sailed a few times but never skippered my own boat. After watching that episode and hearing you talk about the feeling of sailing close hauled up that passage, I got motivated. I took some courses and within a few months I arrived in Airlie Beach ready to skipper my own boat. On about the 6th day I sailed close hauled through Solway. It was amazing. Truly life changing. I’ve been sailing a handful of other places, but that was the spark. Anyway, I watched a recent episode and heard you say you’ll be at the IDLES show in Tokyo! My gf and I will also be there! Bought tickets a few months ago while planning a ski trip. We’re coming from Alaska where we live. If I see you, I’ll buy you a beer. Once again, thank you. Beau
