Pros and cons perspectives vary in situations depending upon time perspectives used. Individual computer ownership is a net positive on humanities history. However, nefarious usage of this ubiquitous tool puts it on par with guns when discussed honestly. Cyberbullying, hacking, and miseducation has likely harmed more lives from 2010 to 2021 in the USA than other tools or weapons. On percentage basis or other metrics.... lives taken .... dollars spent.... suicide events... COVID impact on all sides... Guns make the news, but more harm was done by nefarious usage of smartphones and laptops by nefarious agenda minded bad guys... Whether it's an immature trolling comment... or stock manipulating post... or lying government propaganda piece... or genuine evil religious extremist. Salute to those tirelessly tackling the issue each day. Hugs and good vibes 💗🌈👽🤖😎🛸
