I grew up in Brant Rock, Marshfield. I remember lying in bed listening to that. And all the little stones in the wash hitting the house. And the clean up, hoo boy! But on a sunny summer morning, having bacon and eggs on the porch as the sun does a kind of dance on the water. Kinda awesome too.

@@brucegelman5582 i guess I’ve lived a life you could never imagine, because you are afraid of death and I calculate risk. I climbed to the top of a Mayan pyramid in the jungles of Guatemala, snorkeled with sharks in Belize. Living next to the sea requires respect for her and the resources to rebuild what she takes. Our cottage on the Atlantic wasn’t hard to sell, just hard to insure.

I grew up in Old Rexhame, also listening to the stones wash back and forth during storms . I'd walk down the seawalls and riprap to Brant Rock to visit friends on Island Street. Storms would wash rocks up on to the porch and sometimes the roof of the old lifesaving station. Waves would hit the seawall and transmit the shock all the way across the spit to the marsh side. I do remember the bowladrome/theater, Sonnies, Charlies, the Tingleys garage, and Estes salt water taffy. Blackman's Point boasted the remains of one of the first trans-Atlantic Marconi radio station antennas. Only the foundations remain but I believe the antenna reached to 400 feet high. One winter the esplanade flooded and froze over. It made driving a little difficult. Good memories.

Tax dollars that are literally taken by the government I find out my cancer spread from bottom to top and I was supposed to get 8,000 to be on disability sadly the rest of my life, not by choice but because refusal of treatment I got 3,000 and no treatment. What do tax dollars go to anymore besides the government to live very well. I worked the nursing field 22 years while the government took most of that money and gave back nothing. But that's ok as well, obviously God didn't want me to put more tax dollars to their poisonous chemo that really just kills most people anyway. Out of my family I lived longer than any of them that died after having chemo, which I've lost so many in my family to cancer sadly from a bad cancer gene. My blessings and prayers to everyone 🙏💕
