Excellent movie it had everything in it to keep the audience in there seat. All the people involved in this movie was a total team and pulled off some amazing feats. The sad thing since the USA is so divided I wonder if that land will also be divided.

This is the reality of life right now. The bible says that there would be wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in divers places; etc.., everything being acted out in this very movie! Turkey & Syria just lost thousands upon thousands in the earthquake & another one hit today! 😞😞😞This is just the beginning. Read the real story in MATTHEW 24:3-13...GOD made a way of escape for us. We deserve a penalty of death for our sins, but JESUS gave HIS Life for you and me so that we may have abundant life on earth & eternal life in Heaven. If you have not received HIS Unfathomable gift of Love, I pray that you (& all who read this) repent of your sins and ask HIM into your heart so that this movie never becomes your reality! @robertkrause, The Great Inland sea by David Francis, but it's not a disaster/scifi novel. The Inland Sea neither, it has the Japanese Islands as location. Other 'Inland Sea' novels are by Sam Clark, a mystery, and a drama by Madeleine Watts. I checked out Heinlein and Clark's bibliographies, but no disaster novel here. Memories can be tricky, I know that all too well...I've been looking for certain scifi short-stories that stayed in my memory for decades, but never found them back 🙂🙃

@@libzc94 There are a few older scifi-disaster books. Lucifer's Hammer by Larry Niven and Jerry Pournelle. Impressive novel. and scientifically solid. A good one is also Greg Bear's The Forge of God, where the earth is literally torn to pieces from powers within, aliens save a selection of Mankind. And there's the movie Knowing with Nicholas Cage, I liked that one too. Although personally I think that Mankind doesn't deserve to be saved from extinction... 🥴 And aliens may agree with that.
