I had the OG Stinkor as a kid- I still have him. My experience was that the stink lasted YEARS. He still carries a bit of it. He made my whole toy drawer smell. Heck, some of my old toys STILL carry a bit of “eau de Stinkor.”

They'd added the scent into the plastic instead of just coating him, that's they it lasted so long. They did the same with Moss Man. Gen here must have gotten a bad one because Mine alos lasted for years and still had it when it ended up in a garage sale

A cybernetic monstrosity of a mount with a buttox blaster? Battlecat is screwed....And then head-chomped. 😂 OH! And @GENXPERIENCE, don't worry. I believe King Hiss eventually caved and adopted a Tyrantisaurus Rex for a mount... Pretty sure he leaves picking up the poop to Squeeeze though. He's a good pet. Their adventures together can be found on old Tyrantisaurus box art, minicomics, and the latest Wrath of Snake Mountain board game expansion set.

For some reason I never had a problem with Faker, my playtime was a combination of the mini comics and cartoon, so Faker was more rank and file. Sounds stupid maybe, but I would put Snake Mountain in a dark corner of the room and when He-Man chased the evil warriors away once they got there the Heroic Warriors would stop and go home cause it was a place that you just go into.

I always used Faker as Skeletors failed experiment to make his own He-Man. He wasn't AS powerful as He-Man, but still strong enough to be a henchman. 0:45 There were only 72 vintage MOTU figures? Not as many as I expected. I had just three. I was born a little too late for MOTU. They were present on the playground, but were just about to be supplanted by the next big thing, my main nostalgic childhood franchise; The Transformers. The Filmation style of the MOTU cartoon already seemed dated to me back then, when compared to other sci-fi fantasy series like Thundercats, Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers, or The Mighty Orbots. I do have enough fondness for the characters to have a small MOTU collection though. 5 Origins figures, plus the main cast from the Club Greyskull Ultimates (cartoon style) line. Just missing Evil-Lyn. 😬

I still love how you honor them and that small connection you had to them. Yeah, there were not as many MOTU as GI JOE or Transformers. I liked Stinkor and Snout Spout. It made sense that Moss Man defeated Stinkor in the toy comic. I liked your explanation on Snout Spout for why you didn't care for him, but I don't think it's that big of a deal if elephants exist on Eternia, considering all of the other earth-type creatures that do. Faker was mid. Never wanted him, but would have imagined a scenario for him if I had him. I had blast-attak years back and also Saurod as well which our mother brought us from her trip in italy! We asked he to see if she can find something to bring us from there since was another country.I always wanted he-man & skeletor in my collection since you know were the first protagonists you can think,but never had the chance for one of the characters we wanted the most! We always had the most obscure characters in the motu line besides LJN's thundercats which at least there we had 2 lion oh's at least.Because i was never see blast-attak in the series was completely weird to me,but also lame with a pretty unique and also awkward power! Blow up himself with a wire behind his back which was like a syringe in the button!?! What kind of an idea is that?! i thought when i first look at it in my hands it was some kind of a boiler robot thing that was blown up to help the evil ones!!! And saurod that was spitting sparks from his mouth was ok i guess close to blast-attak but absent from the series,at least he was in the feature film! I still remember the first time i understood which character was from the film that had also a really small run time before skeletor kick his tail and this made me really glad i have him! Well this day at least with the origins line we had a second chance for a scareglow and not only! Worth mention that scareglow was one of the figures i wanted like mad man from the past! 😉

The idea that they named figures Ram Man and Fisto still cracks me up as a fellow gay man myself. The entire line always had that humor with the names. Took me forever to figure out Evil Lynn's pun. Man-E-Faces was genius as I have a friend named Manny. I was called Roboto due to my last name... it was awesome! We had a substitute teacher named Mrs. Khan (and she was very serious) so, of course, we had to call her Mrs. Cobra Khan! Heheh!

Zodiac was my least favorite but most played with character. Who was this guy? He was neither good nor bad? A cosmic enforcer? Okay. With that amount of anonymity he fit in to almost any storyline. I love the Tops(Rotar), and the Stones (Stonedar) for originality. Anything with a creature head is in my top tier of awesome. Rio Blast isn't one of my favs, and I don't care for Fisto, nor the name Fisto. I loved Ram Man, but hated that he was paralyzed from the legs down so to speak. @GENXPERIENCE
@GENXPERIENCE 8 күн бұрын
Thanks. Well, although their official release year is 1982, many South American Countries did get early releases (first production, etc) in late 1981. There must have been some of those released in the USA, as well. As far as some other commenters who shared with me they got theirs in 1981, it was only He-Man & Skeletor. Besides the old Christmas Photos of me with that year written on the back of them, I always knew which Christmas I was given those 2 characters...long before the internet told me their official release was 1982. So I never knew otherwise. I was excited to find some people online as well as here in the comments who also had that unofficial "early bird" release.

all your lil' innuendos (he's a top *tee hee*) X-D have to admit - there were 4 on here i really like - Stinkor, just a really nice character design - he's one of those where your imagination leads him to be something more - despite being Stenchmaster, he also is an evil scientist for Skeletor. And hey - what better way to cease a battle than with patchouli? Dragstor i actually liked - strange feature, yes - but his design was almost otherworldly and (again) imagination says he could also be an evil scientist doing his own Frankenstien / cyborg like experiments, deep within the Fright Zone. Thunder Punch He-Man was darned cool at the time, and i admit - there was something to the "heft" of the figure and a pretty heroic outfit... WAY MORE SO than Flying Fists, that's when it felt like even Mattel wasn't caring anymore. Seriously - why would the most powerful man in the universe need spinning balls - er - mace?!?! Like you, the one i'm on the fence about was Snout Spout, though i think it was a neat interpretation of AND neat to have a heroic firefighter - props! However i WILL give it up for the "New Eternia" version - don't know if you've seen that one, but wow, he blows me away (no pun intended). That said - i agree with the others... the original Rotar and Twistoid - just.... nah. Didn't even seem it was part of the same universe!

But you kill me with the "scientist for Skeletor" thing...I used to make those same kind of imaginative jobs for my figures as well. Thank you again, great comment and thanks for watching.
