Hearing this is acutally just disgusting on WWEs, holding god knows how many great talent on hold just to say they want them now, right when they seem to go somewhere else, and from what Kingston and Wardlow said it seems like WWE wants to rather be a dollhouse with pretty faces instead of a wrestling promotion.

Here is when I respected Will Hobbs. If someone can fill in the details, it would be great. But I remember a Battle Royal that happened at Daily's Place during the empty arena era. Matt Sydal got to the top buckle for his signature Shooting Star Press. But the ropes were slick and Sydal tumbled to the mat upon his attempt. Hobbs went over to a downed Sydal and made sure he was okay. Hobbs even had his body near Sydal to shield him from any flying bodies. My respect for Will Hobbs increased greatly because he cared for his opponent.

With WWE's recent "Future Superstars Endeavour" where they offer College Athletes who aren't in line to being drafted (or drafted high anyway) the opportunity to come work for them, frankly I am not surprised by most of the "indy guys" that WWE passed over. Those two though, considering Vince's history of loving "Oily Muscled Men" are shocking.

I get why they said no to some of these wrestlers - Descendent of Kraff and others are quite right in saying below that Eddie Kingston would have stuck out in WWE like a sore thumb. Some of this is also sheer bad luck. But to say no to Satnam Singh, Wardlow, Hobbs _and_ Cargill suggests that whoever was making the decisions must have had their mind on other things.

Hikaru shida had a tryout with wwe in 2016 with Nikki cross. Just about the same time kana was signed and debuted for wwe as asuka. As far as I remember during a few q & a's she hint at refusing a contract and wasn't to fond of how wwe or the pc did things. Also If i were to guess wwe weren't probably gonna let her continue doing her stage acting career which she loves. So she said no. Back when she was just making appearances for pre aew events or aew and not fulling sign yet she didn't sign to aew because she thought they wouldn't let her continue her stage acting career. But once she was told it's ok to continue she signed with aew full time.

I definitely think everything happens the way it's supposed to. Getting told "No" pushed some of these wrestlers to keep going and be better than they ever were. Pretty much everyone here has risen to be a well known talent. And they did that on their own. Without creative making up a gimmick for them. That's pretty impressive if you ask me. Definitely something to be proud of. So of course after seeing one of them get over, which means they'll make them money, WWE would try to come back around. Now that they know it won't be as much of a gamble lol. It's all business

WWE doesn't sign entertainers that like wrestling or have worked in it. How Sammy , Wardlow, Ricky Starks, Jade and others were passed on, is so bad. Anthony Bowens getting a call 3 years later is so disrespectful. I don't think WWE is the company we used to know, and think they should have it renamed to World Wide Entertainment, and change the way they do things. I believe they should get Luis Fernandez-Gil (Dario Cueto in Lucha Underground), with the writers from that show and should just do movie style programming like that show with the audience being part of the action, cause what they are doing currently isn't working.

The common thread here seems to be that WWE doesn't want people that actually like wrestling. I think that thinking can be directly attributed to their decline in quality-nobody aside from a few seems like they give a damn.

"Jade Cargill has everything you CANT teach" I could not have said it better myself. She may have something to learn between the ropes but, she has everything else. I just hope that they don't give her the Goldberg treatment when they decide to pin an L on her record. His gimmick was the streak. He lost a LOT of steam after he lost because of the way he lost

From what remember the Bucks were late for their tryout and when they arrived at the arena had to run quickly to the ring. In the hallway they passed Booker and since they had worked with him in TNA he felt slighted that they didn't shake his hand. Bookers just one of those old school, "shake the veterans hand" type of guys. It got a bit of attention around the time it happened.
